So when is the next meeting??? I'm sorry to all of my RPG buds, but I had to babysit at the last minute so I was unable to attend.

Also, anyone up for some weekend fun? Like movie, dinner or hanging out or something??? Please e-mail me or respond. I am dying to get some downtime away from Minion #1.

Heh. Yeah, we can thank that 'great writer' Kathy Tyers for that little addition to the SW universe.

Sorry, Jedi Miss, but I saw that and couldn't resist. =)

Yep, she is soooooo awsome! *Sarcasam*

I cant believe she got to do a NJO book !?!
Geeze, The Crystal Star has got to be the worst in the series.

Nah, she's the one that did Truce at Bakura. But you are right, Crystal Star was probably the worst SW book this side of the Lando trilogy.

I have no idea why they would ever let her do a NJO book. She doesn't know the characters at all (Mara Jade in particular), and her writing style leaves something to be desired, to say the least.

Oh, well. Aaron Allston's coming out with two new books, so at least there's that to look forward to. Actually, the trend has been the NJO hardbacks aren't all that great, but the paperbacks have all been phenominal (including the newest one that was just released this week). There is hope for NJO yet!

Oh, yeah I was still asleep when I posted (dont post while asleep ;) )

I'm looking forward to the Alliston books. And is he going to do any more Rouge Squad ? I loved the whole X-Wing series and his were great.

Yeah his X-Wing books were amazing. But unfortunately, that series was with Bantam, and Del Rey has no interest in continuing it. From what I understand, Del Rey's only doing the prequel based novels, and the NJO. The NJO is supposed to be a combined total of 25 books (5 hardbacks, 20 paperbacks). Who knows who'll be even alive after that? I suppose they probably have the option to do more after it's done, but I don't know and haven't heard anything about it.

But as far as Allston, I know for sure that he's doing two books next year (in the NJO series) and members of Wraith Squadron will be involved. Looks like they're continuing the trend of having the best books be the paperbacks.
