next meeting

so when and where do you want to have the next meeting

have you thought of any names for our group, i do like "The Bakersfield Banthas" heeeheee

 

The Bantha name is growing on me, too. Heehee.

Anyone up for bowling for the next meeting? The kids could enjoy that, too.

 

I'd guess time frame to be some where around the 20th? As of right now my work load is kinda slow and I should have plenty of free time. Should is the key word!!!

I like the Bowling idea Riibu. I'm up for that even if I don't know how much we'd actually focus on the group unless it is to just have a good time!!!

 

Unless there is a big specific thing that we need to concentrate on (like planning a party or charity event), having meetings around recreational activities isn't too difficult. A pause here and there to discuss group matters and then a bunch of fun.

You think that Southwest Lanes would be ok??? Or maybe even Westchester. We might want to call and make sure they will have lanes open. I'm not sure what days they each have league or if they charge by the game or by the hour??? It's been a long time since I've bowled.

It was really great meeting everyone. bowling would be a fun thing to do but a fan club meeting would be hard to do...(mabey) im not sure. I have a sugestion... We could have a meeting at my house and bar-b-q some burgers and dogs. all familys are welcome and my wife said that it would be fine.... i have a pool and playground for youngsters, if the weather is right.

We could all bring our s-w memorabillia and talk and plan things.... or i could rent a room at the gaming experiance for a few hours and we could hold it there...

or i could kick all your buts at bowling....lol

That sounds like a fun event for the future, but official meetings shouldn't be held at people's houses. They need to be open to new members who want to join and I doubt you really want to advertise the location of your house so anyone can stop by anytime they like? Just a safety issue, that's all.

 

Yeah Mark....We want to kick your butt in bowling anyway. The BBQ idea is a good one for the future.

Bummer on the no house deal. I'd love to kick back and watch some burned fan films or of course SW. I have the Laser Disc Spec edition and ofcourse the DVD versions of ep 1 and 2.

 

Since no one has specified any dates, does this mean we can simply post when and where to show up and either you do or you don't?

Where are we at for a date? Personally I like the pizza thing or a restaraunt, something comfortable where we can kick back while we bs. Just coming from Vegas we have lots of pics to share now btw.

I was going to say that I can be there, but I really do not like this short notice thing. In order to make this official we need to have the meeting announced on the website and there is not enough time for that now. (I was out of town all weekend and didn't see this until late last night.)

How about the Tuesday after Thanksgiving?
