Niagara, ON Next meeting

Hey All,

I know that with Summer being here that everyone is extremely busy, but I was hoping to arrange for a club meeting in the near future since there a few things to discuss, including

Toronto Trek 2005

SFX

"Forceball" Tournment

as well as other things which I am sure I am forgetting

Any suggestions for dates? We are already well into June. So perhaps we should aim for late June, early July?

As for location, I suggest Walkers Cafe at Brock...They have AC

 

Becuase of Justin's wedding maybe the last weekend of June or the second weekend of July would be best.

 

We're still awol for the time being. Sorry

 

Can we get some suggestions from other people?? Our weekends are booking up fast.

 

Anything after July 18th doesn't work for me because of exams, but I doubt I was a high priority

 

Just a reminder... TTrek is coming up fast... July 15-17...

we're planning a room party on the Friday night!... everyones welcome!

 

How about either July 2nd or July 9th? Both are Saturdays.

 

The second of July is the long weekend, and I will be gone for the entire weekend.

So from where I am sitting right now, The 9th looks the best.

 

I work on the 9th, but a special friend is coming in to Niagara that day, aswell.

I may be able to get the day off, switch it out, but theres still the question of who's going to meet John when he gets in.

 

For anyone who's interested.... There's a huge SCA event in London the weekend of the 9th. Just to let you know.

So the 9th is a Saturday, If that doesn't work for alot of people perhaps should we consider the Friday, which is the 8th.

Perhaps make a night out of it and go for a movie/mini-putt/bowling afterwards?

What does everyone think?

I would like to see it on either 8th or 9th so that its not pushed back another weekend becuase then we are running into other events like T-Trek, etc.

I'm good for either of those.

 

Money is a little tight right now, I don't think that an evening out will work for us unless it is something free or inexpensive (like board games).

 

As far as I know the 9th weekend is good for us too.

Edit: To cut down on costs, how about a simple pot-luck BBQ at someones house?

I got the 9th off work, one of the girls was looking for weekends for a bit more hours when she's not working at her other job, so I asked and she said sure!

I'm up for anything, potluck with games sounds like a great idea! but really anything will do!

I'll be sure to drink a lot of sugar during the day. Joking aside, uhhh...I've never driven that long. And with stops it'll be about 10-12 hours. Or 9. Dunno, we'll see. But yeah, I'm coming to this meeting, I think. If it's still being held on the 9th. Hopefully YJN won't mind an old man coming along. I assure you all that I'll soak my dentures and polish my cane.

Well, I have to work on Saturday July 9th from 2-10pm...so I'm out. I would have needed some advance notice to book the day off. Too bad it wasn't set for a Sunday...I always have those off.

 

OK, so what day and time is this happening?

 

To add to Steph's question, was it decided where this is going to be and whom is to bring what?
If it is going to be potluck we should set up a list or post what we are bringing to avoid a mess.
I do not mind helping out on this.

 

I am slightly concerned at the lack of interest of a group meeting...There is quite a few things we need to go over and it would be great just to hang out, i think its sorely needed...heck Toronto is becoming more Active than us!
