Omaha, NE Next Meeting

We have tentatively set the next meeting for July 3rd. Its dependant of course on how many of us are in town. Plus, if enough of us have the day off, we thought of maybe meeting late morningish at a park and having a cookout. Any other thoughts?

Um...I would think that with family functions and other life activites, that the 3rd of July wouldn't be the best day for it. I know that I won't be able to attend that day. (Silent) Josh won't be able to attend, either.

Is there any way that we can make this the weekend before or after July 4th weekend?

Weekend after the 4th would be much much better for me, have family flying in from New York that week. Would hate to miss another meeting.

Since I have no life outside of work, anytime would work with me althoguh I dont know when i work in July yet. But I also think the 3rd is a bad time. To many parties to attend and stuff to blow up!

Welcome Yatchie. I don't suppose you kow anything about kendo, do you? I've trying off & on for the past year & a half to find a plce that teaches it with no luck.

 

Ok, here are my days off in this time period.. June 27 and 28, July 3 and 4 and 10 and 11. My first weekend day off would be Sunday July 29th.

Hey yatchie - I do a little kung fu (Shaolin) myself. I've just started so I'm not even remotely good which reminds me, if anyone wants a poor-Jedi-wannabe-in-training showing flashy moves that are laughable, I can do that

July 10th does not work for me or the bookstore at all. I have a book group that meets here at the bookstore that evening. Please, however, feel free to find another location for the meeting. Just because the 10th is bad for me and the bookstore should not interfere with anyone else's plans.

Ok, sorry Kate. I guess we forgot to ask you, too.

Now craigrr had mentioned he may have a place to meet if we ever needed it so Im waiting on word from him. It will again be in the evening. I will post all the details when I hear from him.

 

As Mark & Bob both know, I have a pretty good sized basement. My wife says she doesn't care if we have the meeting here. Since we moved a couple weeks ago, the basement is pretty cluttered. I'll let everyone know by July 3 if I've been able to make the basement fit for human habitation . I'll keep you all posted.
