teehee, can I bring the Neverending Story? that film rocks!
Sweet Johnagge, thank you. That had been bugging me all day.
The 80's night is still in the works - if we can get numbers.
We'll see people shortly at teh Johnnage's place. God damn it is cold!
The only good thing that came out of the 80's was ROTJ, despite it being knocked as the worst of the three. Some of the music from the back end of the era was good, minus milli vanilli, vanilla ice etc
Whatever you do, do not knock Jason Donovan, New Kids on the Block and Martika.
ahem. Consider them knocked!
*Gets out Jason Donovan CD and starts singing Especaially For You* (BTW have bad karoke rendition on video from 21st of that song - hangs head in shame)
Please make the bad man go away !
And if you can get him to take Kylie Minogue as well it would be great.
You knockin' my singing?
Not you Nat, Knocking Jason Donavon
I can't believe I still have that CD in my collection
It might be time to say goodbye to Mr Donavon Nat .....
I don't listen to it, honestly. I'm pretty sure there's Kylie's first album in there somewhere too. I think I ditched NKOTB a looooonnnngggg time ago. I think I'll settle for Queen or John Farnham anyday. Now, please do not knock my musical taste, or I'll find some opera for yas....
Nothing wrong with a bit of queen or Johnny F.
I was going to say I like Chess but I think that was actually a musical and not opera. Otherwise I'll say I have a liking for Il Trovatore.
OMG - Chess? Wasn't that written by the ABBA dudes? I didn't like the Mama Mia musical very much. We Will Rock You on the other hand rocked! Written by Ben Elton with music by Queen. What more could you ask for? Oz production was great, but the West End version was even better.
Know your getting old when The Offspring collection is advertised on TV as an ideal Fathers day gift
LMAO I saw that ad, and just prior to it I was debating with myself that Im not that old. Then I saw that piece of irony, and promptly thought, yah Im getting old.
You like John Travolta?!
Good one dude! BTW, I thought the Saturday Night Fever musical wasn't crash hot. The singing was totally mumbled.
Anyhoo, getting back on topic. Is anyone interested in an 80's PJ party? 80's TV shows/movies/music only, with party food. PJ's are a must. NO DAGGY 80'S CLOTHES, PLEASE. They are not allowed.
Music will not include the following: Jason Donovan, Kylie Minogue, Martika or NKOTB. Add any other bad artists to the list.
Most definitely interested. I'll bring along Astroboy! And see if I can find more Samurai Pizza Cats (was that the 80s?). And Transformers The Movie. And bad 80s movies like Ferris Bueller and stuff like that. Oh, and we probably have the hugest collection of 80s music, we'll bring some of that too.
OMG! Astroboy and Transformers! I grew up with two brothers, so I was always playing with Transformers and Micro Machines and what not.
Don't you hate it that they're bringing back all the toys we used to play with as a kid, and selling them at monstrous prices? I saw a girl yesterday with a Strawberry Shortcake!
I was thinking a Saturday in October. 1, 8, 15, 22 or 29. Whaddya's think?
I'll see if I can brave the 80's music, although if theres any Samurai Pizza Cats (more early 90's I believe as they were a comment on the Ninja Turtles) You can count Irene and myself in.
I've only got one episode of Pizza Cats, and it's really bad quality.
Oooh, and speaking of bad 80s music I'll bring along my Technotronic CD!!!
