They should, once he really retires.
I wouldn't be surprised if it took a few years...he really burned some bridges on his way out.
To be fair, Green Bay and Ted Thompson lit the first match.
Bart Favre. Yes his # will be retired in Green Bay. Time heals.
wait, you're saying deion wore 24 for the cowboys? that's news to me. was it just for one game or something?
favre is the only 4 that comes to mind.
Deion only wore 21 for the Cowboys.
During practice he would wear 2.
Can't think of any other 4's at the moment.
i found a deion sanders jersey that was number 24. i thought it was for the cowboys, may have been the NFC pro bowl jersey. not sure where he wore it now that i think about it...
Wasn't that what he wore when he was a Raven?
he wore 37 with the ravens because that was his age at the time (and someone, forget who, already wore 21). the only team i know he wore 24 for is the atlanta braves.
ok, it was the falcons. then it was a pro bowl jersey i saw.
and i'm pretty sure it was samarai rolle who had that jersey. maybe mcallister.
on a different note, didn't fran tarkenton wear four? he's who i think of first, honestly. if he didn't then that makes no sense what so ever.
not the falcons, the braves.
then why was it a football jersey?
did he wear it in frisco then?
so fran wore 10. why do i think of him first then? that makes no sense what so ever.
According to [link=http://www.deion-sanders.com/]deion sanders website[/link] the only football numbers he ever had were 21 and 37.
*shrugs* then whoever had that jersey was wrong.
Ricky Williams is the first one that comes to mind.
I used to have a Walter Payton jersey when I was little. I never knew who he really was until I was older, and I actually thought the jersey was customized just for me because I have the same last name.
Second to pop in my head was Hershel Walker and Ricky Williams.
As for the continuing Deion debate I may have an answer. You're not crazy Trim. Back when he played for the Cowboys, ProBowl numbers didn't duplicate. Player with seniority took the number. So who wore 21 with more seniority than Deion in the mid 90s.
Yep, Sweetness it is.
New number: 56
The original LT.
