I was just talking to a friend who is a big Vikings fan... he was ok with the Percy Harvin pick, but he's already resigned himself to seeing Harvin get a 4 game suspension, figuring its just a matter of when said suspension comes.

Update of Jets and Cleveland trade:

The Jets acquired the pick from Cleveland and former coach Eric Mangini for their first-round pick, No. 17 overall, their second-round pick this year (No. 52), and defensive end Kenyon Coleman, safety Abram Elam and quarterback Brett Ratliff.

Eric Mangini began his first draft as Cleveland?s coach by making a deal with his old bosses, sending the No. 5 pick to the New York Jets, his former team who took USC quarterback Mark Sanchez. In return, Cleveland got the No. 17 pick, a second-rounder (No. 52) and three former Jets: defensive end Kenyon Coleman, safety Abram Elam and quarterback Brett Ratliff.

The Browns then dropped two spots in a trade with Tampa Bay, which also sent Cleveland a sixth-round pick (No. 191).

Mangini then swapped the No. 19 pick for Philadelphia?s at No. 21 and took Mack, a 6-foot-4, 311-pounder who also can play guard.

And Wells finally goes to a team that "really" needs a RB. So long Edgerrin James.

    *edit* oops.

So the Browns-Eagles trade was straight up? Interesting.

Wells to Arizona... probably makes him the immediate starter.

    EDIT: Emmett Smith?

I will post the whole second round as one post once all the selections have been made (hopefully it will only take another hour or so).

Looks like maybe their second and a third. They don't have another pick till the 4th round now.

I like both picks. To have Raji fall into their laps was fortunate, and picking up a good OLB is a nice move.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I dunno why the Colts insist on ignoring the fact that our defense needs players.

Thanks to that pick by Philly, they now have Jackson and Maclin on the team. Their return team will be awesome next year.

I still can't believe the Eagles passed on Pettigrew. If they really thought they needed another wide receiver (which I do as well), they should have realized they need a sure-handed receiver that goes across the middle and will put points on the board in the red zone (like Boldin). I truly hope that Maclin turns out to be a great receiver, I just think that they could have used that pick more wisely. Maybe you could have taken Pettigrew at 19 and then packaged your 2nd and a 4th for Boldin. That way you could have addressed your great need for a TE as well as a talented WR.

EDIT: That rant aside, I am happy that the Eagles at least picked up a RB in the 2nd round.

I like the Panthers getting Everett Brown. Great value for a second round pick, too.

The Pack gave up 2nd and both thirds for the 26th and a 5th. I like Matthews, but this might be a little much for him. But I could be wrong. hopefully he becomes a perennial Pro Bowler like his old man and uncle. To me, it's really surprising Thompson traded UP. Vikings are gonna be sorry they took the pot-head, and Al Davis is a tool. Total WTH moment.
