    Cleveland Browns-Brady Quinn QB 6-4 / 233 Notre Dame

The best pro ready QB in the draft + some dangerous outside weapons = No brainer pick.

Hopefully the real Draft goes the same way (it's now expected that the top three will probably be the same as has happened here).

I believe that the Bucs will trade up to grab Johnson.

    But...

Now, that this is going the way it is...

    The Tampa Bays Bucs select...

    Gaines Adams... DE... Clemson

    Joe Thomas, OL, Wisconsin

Best player on the board, in my opinion, and the Cards will do backflips if he falls to them.

Even if he is gone fishin'

Height. We can train receivers, but we can't make them taller. I think we lost something when Plexico left. Don't get me wrong, Ward is great, but having the extra reach is key.

I still wouldn't take Rice in the first round. That's a big, big, big reach. There's plenty of value in this draft at WR that to reach for Rice at that point in time ... over someone like a Bowe (only an inch-and-a-half difference) ... or over a position of actual need (LB, OL) just doesn't make much sense to me.

    Oh, and ... bump ... c'mon PRENN

As someone who got to watch Sidney Rice throughout his two years in college, I don't think first round is a reach. He's easily better than Troy Williamson (whom I also watched throughout college) who went 7th a couple years ago (though I don't think he's performed up to expectations). Rice may not be the speediest receiver out there, or the flashiest, but he can flat out catch. I long since lost count of the times that he caught balls that would have been ruled uncatchable. There are a lot of other good receivers out there this year as well, but he's as good as any of them, with perhaps the sole exception of Calvin Johnson, who is out of this world.

I'll pick for Denver, if no one else wants to.

With the 21st pick in the 2007 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select Anthony Spencer DE 6-3 / 261 Purdue

They need a pass rusher and while many mocks have them taking Jarvis Moss from Florida, Spencer is rising up draft boards. This kid had 26.5 tackles for loss last season. I love this guy and Mel Kiper has already said that he'll be defensive rookie of the year.
