    Don't worry Johnnage...
Underneath that macho exterior of explosives and roundhouse kicks, SoE is really just a Teddy Bear.

A Guinness swilling Irish Teddy Bear of course! :D

If I had my family guy DVDs here I'd post a screen cap of when Stewie clones himself and ends up half teddy bear half himself.
    Ahwell.

Oh and round house kicks suck. ;)

Yeah I wouldn't wanna upstage Chuck Norris (who actually happens to be one of the best western martial artists ever) anyway.

Maybe you miss understood what I meant. I'm talking martial artists who live in Western countries like America.
In that case, there are plenty of great martial artists. Norris was lucky enough to traing extensively in Jeet Kune Do with Mr Lee after Norris had already swept the USA Karate championships many times.
Sadly, his films (minus the one he shot with Lee) never did justice to his ability.

I've seen some competition footage of old Chuck back in his glory days, and I've gotta say, his kicks were pretty impressive. Most recently, he's been instrumental in getting the Machado Brother's set up in the States with their Jujitsu. He's definately been an icon in the martial arts, in this I do agree with you SoE. However, I'm afraid that pretty much all of his Film & TV work, especially Walker-Texas Ranger, make him look like an absolute stooge.

In a completely opposite fashion, the best martial arts duel in the hisory of cinema was between Lee and Norris. God that fight scene kicked freakin' ass!

    Ah yes, completely misunderstood.

Although I think I can be excused in this case - since WTR is technically of the "western" genre ...

Yeah I figured that's how you got confused. Completely understandable. ;)
Although even if I did mean the wild west, Norris would have to compete against David Carradine in Kung Fu. ;)

Sad situation but he has to pay the price. In the USA we have a Federal death Penalty but also each state is different. I grew up in Wisconsin and we didn't have the death penalty there, then lived in Washington and had the death penalty. I now live in Oregon and we don't have the death penalty. I think because I grew up in Wisconsin I grew to not believe in the death Penalty. I just remember moving to Washington and finding out about the death Penalty and feeling kind of weird about it. Feel for Nguyen's family but he did bring it upon himself.

One of the things I'm most disgusted about is Nguyens lawyer saying that his hanging was a greater atrocity than what occured at Changi during World War II. That has to be one of the most outrageous statements that I have ever heard. Nguyen was a convicted criminal. The Australian soldiers were protecting the singaporese from the Japanese and suffered horribly for trying to protect people. He should retract that statement and offer an apology to all the changi survivors and the families of the victims.

On the death penalty, I feel that it is warranted in the most heinous of crimes, but I don't want it in Australia because our justice system is not perfect and i would not want an innocent person go to the gallows.

    He's lying, Mixo.

Think about it. No, think properly.

I just got back from Singapore. They fine you SG$10 if you don't flush toilets, for example (I have the t-shirt to prove it!). Do you really think a polis as well regulated as Singapore would allow people to watch executions? You can only just chew gum legally now (though it must be sugar free and bought from a pharmacist!!!)

You can't help but look at Singapore's cleanliness, efficiency, cheapness and public transport system on par with Taibei or Hongkong to see that their brand of whacky fascism works!
