well, the new season will be starting up soon! new marketing campaign and what not. Your Thoughts?
I wouldn't care at all, but I went to UOttawa just to go to Sens games in a Maple Leafs jersey, so I'm just glad I have the opportunity again.
I'm a half-assed Sens supporter only cuz I was born n raised here....
All in all I'm mostly happy about this cuz it means my favourite restaurants in my town (Kanata, home of Corel Center) will no longer be in jeopardy from the lack of hockey business and because it may (hopefully!) contribute to a decline in local concert ticket prices back to a reasonable level ($152 + parking for two people to sit on their asses in the nosebleeds at a punk rock concert??? **** YOU GREEN DAY.)
So, yay for hockey! :>
I'll be curious to see how many franchises cut their ticket prices by 24%, the same rate at which player salaries are said to be cut.
My guess would be: none.
I think they might... I think they'll be really hurt by the year off. I know lots of people in Ottawa were forced to watch the OHL and the 67s, and realized that it's also really awesome hockey for a cheaper price... I mean, look at how badly baseball was hurt.
I'm sure that there will be a few teams that will cut their prices some, but not by a quarter. But we shall see.
Well they got rid of our AHL team here just after they ended the season. The oilers management must have known a deal was imminent.
It sucks too because the RoadRunner's rocked. Cheaper tickets + faster-paced hockey...
Hopefully Leafs will win stanley cup this year.
Yeaaah, riiiiiiiiight. Not this century I'm afraid.
Oh they could Leafs are the best and you know it!!!!
