    That's what... viagra said?

But seriously, what is going on. I don't really like being undermined as an oldbie by people who registered 2 years before me. You people are cramping my style. I'm getting flashbacks to the days when I was called a midbie.

How many years does it take to be considered a midbie? Noob question I know.

It didn't used to be about years. Basically while the PT was still coming out, it was sort of like... if you registered before TPM came out, you were an oldie. Between TPM and AotC, Midbie, between AotC and RotS, Newbie. That's the best way I can describe it.

Post 2005, it just sort of started to trickle off until eventually anyone who had managed to be here 10 years was pretty rightly considered an oldie, I'd say. But those of us who registered in a different millennium are particularly smug about it.

At this point sj I don't see why you wouldn't be considered in oldbie in the grand scheme of things. 12 and a half years is a pretty darn long time. Even if you don't have the 98 or 99 reg date. Though I wouldn't mind it if the board software would let me have my 98 reg date on my original account ;)

    98-99 oldbie
    00-02 midbie
    03-current n00bie

    The above still applies.

Well at this stage, even people who registered several years after any of the movies, say in 2007, have been here 6 or so years. Which is insane.

Anyway, the names popping up in this thread are doing my head in.

I agree. We with 00 registration dates have been around long enough to be considered oldbies, or at least oldish.

Some of us weren't old enough to post before 2000 :p I mean, we could have pulled an OZK or a RedOktober I guess. Red was young, right? I've deleted a lot of oldbies from my mind.

I have forever loathed the word "midbie." I forget who it was, but Rouge Null, I think, once called it "middlebie," which, while being just as stupid, at least preserves the pattern.

Midbie is pretty lame, like being the unnoticed middle child or something..lol

I don't care for the terms myself, but what if the pattern is first syllable only? In fifty years oldies will become Ancbies.
