Nice Work Everyone

Just wanted to say I've been checking out the various 3D things at Scifi 3D and it's cool what everyone's doing there. All the work is great and I just wanted to say nice work to everyone who did something there. I know I'm just a noob to this site and all but there's a lot of great stuff and I just wanted to say so.

Well, On behalf of everyone who did something that's posted there, (which excludes me), "thank you".

 

You should just be thanking me since alot of the noobs out there think everything on the site was done by me. So on behalf of all the mis-guided noobs out there... I thank you.

Bobabert... what have you been up to lately? You've been quiet. I guess work has you busy. I wish you had time to work with us on SOTS. Have you had time for any personal stuff either?

June is when my work is going to start picking up, and the end of my 'edit Jedi Academy' phase.

I wish there were more people here, then this forum wouldn't be so small.

 

Hey, I'm here!! I'm still wasting time around, trying to make better models in max, learning maya (hey it's easier than max, far better interface) then, in jully I go back home, and then... I come to US !!! to study in computer sciences (yeah I'm a geek)

Well, right know I'm busy on a CG fanfilm project with a guy. Yeah another one, but this time it's different, I'm the newbie in this project. Or maybe, I should say the padawan because we are only two.

 

Is it an original story or based on an existing property?

who are you working with jones?

 

I'm working with a guy from canada. First i received a mail from guy saying: "Hey, I like what you're doing, and I plan making a star wars cg movie. I'm good at animating but I suck at modelling"

I told my-self "Not again! I had dozens of those mails. Another guy who installed max on his computer yesterday, and who think he can do better than ilm guys... Animating is the most difficult part, the last one you learn. He is just a noob who think that if he can't model, at least, he might be able to animate"
So I answered, telling him I'm busy... blabla... I'm only interested by serious projcts... CG might be more difficult than he thinks...
Then I sent the mail, and noticed the name of the site his email adress was hosted on. So, I thought "probably his personnal site, let's check if I can see some stuff he has made..."
And then, I saw his resume
He worked on Scoobidoo 2, Kaena recently, and right now he works on alone in the dark, the movie
So I wrote another mail to appologize, and saying it would be an honor to work with him. I downloaded his video, and yeah, he can animate!

So we are working on a full CG short, about 5 minutes long. No real story, just like Duality, it will be a fight with mandalorians and jedis.

Wow, that's awsome, maybe you can be recognized by some important people and get a real job somewhere. Cool.

this site is a group of CG artists, animator only and one of them, called Fred just want to make a small star wars short, but he said he sucked at animating
