Has anyone here got an idea or an address on how a poor European such as I could get his hands on both NJO E-books ? I haven't been able to find a site that wouldn't bar me from downloading it because the server is located in the US... [face_plain]

    Have you tried Amazon.com ?

Hmmm, link didn't work. Just go to "www.amazon.com"

amazon.com won't let me buy the E-book precisely for the reason I mentioned, they were the first I tried. Thanks, though :)

Doesn't Amazon have a European subsidiary?

Do you know if the Amazon restriction includes Australia ? I've never actually bought anything off Amazon, only browsed [face_worried]

It's apparently only a problem with E-books, I've bought from amazon.com several times without trouble.

That's strange, I live in Turkey and I bought all the e-books from amazon.com without a problem...

That seems to have to do with EU laws, according to Amazon.

Obviously EU legislation hasn't contended with the wrath of displeased sci fi fans.

    Obviously it hasn't !!! :p
It has actually something to do with the preservation of users' liberties when they download material [face_laugh]

Seek out alternative ways of getting the e-books. I fear that Amazon is not the way, my Padawans.

Or you can be like me and wait patiently for their publication in a paperback novel. That's how I got "Darth Maul - Saboteur" and "Recovery".

I refuse to buy the hardback of Destiny's Way, simply because I know that "Ylesia" will be inserted into the paperback version. Even though the book will be $ 7.00-7.50, I still get the e-book for a good bargain price within, making it worthwhile.

    I paid only $ 5.50 for my SbS paperback at Wal-Mart. Roughly $ 1.00 per 80 pages. :)

Yes, I'd just purchase the paperbacks.

Is there a possibility of driving to a non-EU country and using the internet there with a laptop PC?

The paperback to Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter as the e-book Saboturer in it, the e-book Recovery is in the Star By Star paperback. And I believe Ylesia is going to appear in the Destiny's Way paperback. Try getting the e-books that way.
