Actually, I intended to draw Anakin fell to the dark side(although I really dislike the idea):D And I prefer Anakin with longer hair!:)

Well, I just think up some new ideas of pattern, so I decided to put them around my self-portrait.
Please forgive me, nevew have I ever drawn a self-portrait before, it may not look like me...[face_blush]

Oh, these are just beautiful NL!! And self-portraits are excrutiatingly difficult for most artists, so I commend you undertaking them! I love the face in the first one (with the colors)--very peaceful expression and lovely features. The second one seems more thoughtful, and the slight smile is almost "Mona Lisa"-ish in its subtlety. Both very very pretty--and the costume designs are lovely as well. I think the embroidered hood in the second one appeals to me a little more--elaborate and detailed without detracting from the face--just lovely! Did you do these in front of a mirror, or from some photos that you have of yourself? I really like them both! =D=

I can't help giggling when you describe the first one "peaceful"![face_laugh] You know, it's really suffering to me when I did drawing and at the same time holding a tiny mirror. Well the second one is from a photo.;) Thanks for reply!

Here comes Amidala again! She is my muse!

Beautiful drawing of Amidala, NL! =D= Excellent detailing (...I think I'd go insane, trying to do some of her elaborate headdresses/costumes...and I can't draw Natalie anyway... ;) ) and nice shading, especially on the hair. You're so good at getting those fancy costumes correct--great work!

These are great - I love the self-portraits with the curly sort of patterns, and the portrait of Amidala is awesome. "Across the Desert" is a really intriguing picture - is there a story behind this one?

Oh, I love "Across the Desert!" There's such a lonely atmosphere to it, with the solitary figure moving through the empty canyons... Emotion in art is one of the things that I love the most, so of course this one really "speaks" to me! Great work on the canyon walls, showing the strata or layering of the stone (just as you would see in canyon country like this)--and the robes/cloak show beautiful movement as the figure strides away from us... Wonderful!

Well, actually I found a photo in magazine, and it's about middle east(just as you can see the background). I had a feeling that it's just look like Tatooine! [face_love] So I decided to draw a picture about that and put a view of Padme's back in it.(Of couse I do some changes of the cloak!)

    FF
The background is just from a photo of middle east and it really strike my fancy(You know, those atmosphere is really awesome)! Thanks for your reply![:D]

This is colored by my friend Lydia Yu, with her agreement, I post it here.

Beautiful job of coloring in "Gothic Lady," NL--your friend is very talented! And I am so loving your drawing of Master Fay!! =D= What a beautiful pose, very much the Jedi hands, and her robes are just gorgeous! So much movement and energy in this one--I just love it! You have a talent yourself for the colored pencils--will you be finishing this one with those, or perhaps doing it in PS? I can't stop saying how great this one is! Wonderful drawing!

The colored "Gothic Lady" is lovely! Your friend did a very good job!

"Master Fay" is beautiful! It has so much movement! The robes are beautiful! I am so envious of how you did the hands (I seem to have problems drawing hands)! I also like how her hair looks slightly messy. It really helps with the movement of the drawing. You did such a wonderful job! =D=

Thank you! I decide that I may keep this sketch without color for a while because I haven't think up to use what colors.:D

I agree that hand is one of the most difficult part of figure, I also spend a lot of time to draw the hands! But as what people say:"practice makes perfect!"[:D]

Very nice. I like the font you used. Where did you get it? Do you have a website link where I can pick that up.

I have Photoshop, but I really don't know how to use it, but I am sure there is a way to soften the edges of your cropped image.

This way you don't have blocky edges around the hair and clothing.

But overall I really like the photos you picked. Great job!!
