    One of the best Strover lines in the novelization of ROTS. It makes such perfect sense that Mace Windu would be so attached to the Republic as being the "embodiment" of galactic civilization. I love it when Jedi are portrayed as being "attached" to the idea of a galactic Republic. Current authors tend to forget that for 25,000 years the Jedi Order essentially existed as the guardians of the best ideals of the Republic. That becomes pretty ingrained after a thousand generations.
