No Fanfare in AOTC OST

    Does anybody know why the Fox fanfare is omitted on the Soundtrack for AOTC. It's really as much a part of Star Wars as John Williams score, and it just does'nt feel right without it.

    The fanfare doesn't appear on any of the original soundtrack releases, it was only added to the OT scores in the 1993 Anthology boxset and to TPM on the ultimate edition.

    This is correct. The Fox fanfare does not appear on any of the original soundtrack releases.

    In addition to the anthology and TPM:UE listed above, the fanfare also appears on the Special Edition releases of the OT soundtracks.

    Well, if we're gonna be completists about it, it was also on the Charles Gerhardt re-recording of ESB in 1980. :p ;)

    That's about as far as my nerdy Fox-Fanfare-on-Star-Wars knowledge goes. It's great to have the Alien 3 version available on the Predator soundtrack though, I love that version.

    The Fox Fanfare is also on the Varujan Kojian Star Wars Trilogy re-recording on Varese Sarabande records.
