No More Stars

I've disabled the star system for now. Let's have a run at how people react.

Edit: I like the stars myself, they are pretty, but I don't put a huge importance on them.

I liked looking at them. Made me feel special. I didn't even get to say good bye to the stars! Oh no! (Holds back tears) But if this is the way it has to be. I guess I can handle it even though I feel like a first time poster all over again.

tenorjedi is right. The newbies tend to make lots of threads to get attention, while people with stars usually don't. They just assume that the stars give them enough recognition alone. But now, like tenorjedi said, some of them will start being annoying. *eew*

 

This is going to be fun. Let's see all the people with one or two star, squirm!

It does look a little plain doesn't it. Maybe instead of no stars, we can give everybody 5 stars or better yet just give us colors. ;-)

It's like a badge of honor around here.....but wait I don't need no stinkin badges...

 

The board does look awfully plain without them. Its all a dreary grey and black. Depressing. If stars are a problem, can we do something else to brighten this place up? Otherwise keep the stars.

Newbies usually post tons of crap just to *get* stars. I predict, a whole legion of spammers and trolls will now leave this place.
