erm... I hate to burst your bubble, but I beg to differ, since this means that everyone will have shorter June holidays... so it really makes no difference.....

BTW, just curious, but is it true that your teachers have to call you everyday to make sure that you're at home or something like that??

I dunno... that's what one of my colleagues told me and she has kids who are in school and they have to stay home too.

Well like JediJean said, June hols will be cut short. And I'm going to get homework online anyway.

 

come on... 2 weeks of the june hols being used for sch is no joke...

I really am rather unhappy about this measure. I think that it's unnecessary (after all, on the papers and over the radio, the Health Ministry admitted that there's no real evidence), and it will make it rather a rush in the later part of the year. Furthermore, this probably means that schools will be unable to have fieldtrips and other activities in June. Sigh.

 

Its worse than that for me. My Chinese Mid-Year exam falls on the 17th of April. Although the teaching of the syllabus has been completed, I remain doubtful at the lack of exposure to classroom teaching. Moreover, less classroom time = less tips on the exam.

And what am I to do about the Chinese O Lvls on the 2nd of June? If they are going to extend the school term, there's going to be a huge predicament.

Haha, my brother is jumping for joy after hearing his holiday will be extended to 14th.

 

Wish I was back in this kind of school and got money to spare.

Everything has been cancelled and postponed. (Have I said this before?) Everything that had been postponed has been re-postponed.

The teachers are sparing no mercy
All the work are piling on now. And its only an extra one week break.Sighz.

 

Especially when the marking on Encarta leaves out so many correct possibilities and the information on Inet is all over the place

 

I don't get it. How can people be happy that 'everything that has been postponed has been re-postponed'?

 

Now there's also paranoia in Tekong because there are reports (or rumours) that someone inside has SARS or is suspected to have it..

Oh dear, that's awful, especially when it's so enclosed in Tekong! I sincerely hope it's nothing more than a rumour.

School is reopening tomorrow for me and a lot of us over here.

The past 4 days have been very rough and exhausting for me..my lower body is aching bad too .

No more news about SARS but no one there seems to take notice anymore because we're too tired haha. This weekend I have field camp for 7 days - so not looking forward to it.
