Dave, this isn't aimed specifically at you, but it's sad when it takes events of this kind of magnitude to spur us like this.

Yeah, it is. My brother was commenting about that last night. I'm always proud to be American. I've had a flag on the bulletin board on my wall for years. I just learned yesterday that my Mom had never noticed it.

It does make me proud that we're all uniting together, but, it really shouldn't take this to do that. Hopefully we'll learn that now, that we should always be one people, one family united.

Did you see that editorial? Talking about it not hurting us, but steeling us together? Very inspirational stuff.

Its amazing how completely affected every single person was by this. I finally came out of the haze I was in like mid week last week. But, it was rough. My heart and mind were in New York and DC, when my body was here. Which was rough considering your sort of need your brain for college.

And ya'll aren't going to believe this, but I bought and "I "heart" NY" shirt the other day. But, it has the same thing with DC on the back.

It works well, and fits the South well. Different culture than up here.

The people down here think its really funny when I say "wicked" and I do slip every now and again and say "caaa" instead of "car".

But, I do like the Southern accent.

I find it hard to believe that no one outside of Boston or New England says wicked the way we use it.

do any of you call a drinking fountain a bubbler(sp?) ?
When I lived in CA they thought it was the weirdest thing.

    Bubbler? lol

Accents are a funny thing. I always get compliments on mine when I tawk to people that are not from this area. I do think that Boston has a starnge unique one. I am not a fan of the Southern Speak, makes me laugh. It was fun driving down to Atalnta a while ago.

Yeah, "bubbler" is quite an odd word.

Between me saying "Stah Wors", Mysty and Lady Sith with your NY accents and Alliefox's drawl we have a very diverse listener-hood at jeditalk don't we?

I think the term comes from the way the water hits the sink part. A bubbling sound, like a brook.
