Noghri padawan in the Bear Clan (AOTC)

Does anyone else remember me saying that one of the younglings in the Bear Clan in AOTC looked like a Noghri? This must have been a popular sighting, however, it was misguided.

Madame Jocasta Nu at starwars.com states that the youngling in question is not a Noghri, but a young Whiphid.

Personally I still think it looks like a Noghri and they are just now covering thier tracks after the fact hehe.

 

I here ya, logo boy! However, looking at pics of the noghri and the whiphids, I have to agree with the uptight Jedi librarian.

 

Is that the same Nocasta Nu that said that there was no such planet as Kamico. Never trust a librarian.

It wasn't a Noghri for the simple reason, no one knew about them untill Vader found them. They didn't even have a seat on the senate. (i'm listening to the Thrawn trilogy on tape now hehehe)

Actually, I "think" those are tusks, not fangs. I pulled out my Essential Guides, the SW Encyclopedia, and several comics, and I have to say that I agree with the snooty librarian.

For the record, I never believed her when she said there wasn't a system called Kamino. But that's OK...that happens when you get old. The brain starts to wobble.

 

Its a nice ideal though, the thought of a force sensitive Noghri is just scary.

 

A Force senseitive Noghri, the idea chills me to the core to be honest.
