Buff, NY NOMINATION: PRESIDENT: DEADLINE APRIL 24.

From the meeting Minutes:
Dan M has resigned his position of Vice President, yet he will remain an active member of the North Ridge Fan Force. Thank you, Dan, for all of your years of leadership!

Chris S. has volunteered to step down as President, and remain in the role of Vice President. The attending membership accepted Chris’ resignation, and agreed to keep him in the role of VP.

Chris has nominated Anna S. as acting President of the North Ridge.
Anna accepted the nomination.
The attending membership agreed Anna will fulfill the role of “Interim President” until the election has been finalized.


The Quorum was no longer valid at the time of this discussion, as a member had left the meeting.







The Nomination process will be open for one week, through APRIL 24. A nominee must accept the nomination in order to be eligible.

The Voting process will open for one week, April 25 - May 2. A new thread will be started for Voting, and Elaine has volunteered to tally votes.

In order to be eligible to vote, you must be an active member AND have paid your one time dues. Please contact our Treasurers if you are uncertain if you have met these requirements.

Perhaps we should vote for President before voting for the diplomats. This way we would know if members of the same household would be affected.

I don't see why not. I'll post in the Diplomat nomination thread and see if there is any objection. This will delay that vote a week.

I would suggest that two people do the counting together just for the sake of accountability. I would be happy to join Peter in that task if he is amenable.

 

As stated in the original post, I have volunteered to tally the votes. If someone would like to be the second counter, I'm fine with that.

 

Any volunteers to count with Elaine? She volunteered at the meeting to count votes for this election, as mentioned in the minutes and in the original post.

This would mean that both counters would be included in the voting emails. This information will be posted with the VOTING thread that will be started on MONDAY unless there are any glaring objections.

I, myself, as a member and a candidate, have no objections.

I would also like to ask the Treasurers to forward the list of "eligible to vote" active members to the counters PRIOR to the start of the voting process. Just so they can address everything appropriately.

 

I'm sorry. I was not observant to the minutes and Elaine's offer to count the votes. I will defer to Peter, if he is willing, as the co-counter.

 

I second the nomination of Steven Lukasik. And I don't agree in delaying the vote on the diplomats. Can't candidates as well as members be trusted to maintain their candidacies and vote in the best interests of the club?

Also, it has been requested two members count the votes. Elaine had initially volunteered to count the votes at the meeting. We are still waiting for a volunteer to be the second counter.

Several people have responded this is a good idea, yet there is still no volunteer.

Please respond asap so the additional email information can be added to the voting thread to open MONDAY am, and for the Treasurer to forward the list of eligible voters.
