Also, earlier I nominated Dash Rendar, but he was also in the book. But I know the hardcover for Shadows came out in the second half of 96 and the same with the video game. But both must have been in production at the same time I should think. Hmm

That's 128 including Dash Rendar though. I don't think I missed anything since Aragorns first summary at the halfway point.

 

I think Rendar should be included.

He didn't really appear in anything before the video game--it was a relatively simultaneous multi-media release. He wasn't an established character before the game, which is what I think the exemption clause is trying to prevent.

Up to Yane, of course.

 

If Rendar is excluded, I nominate Bo Jackson (Tecmo Bowl).

how does this work

 

You put the cartridge in the machine. You press the power switch to the on position. If you see nothing but blinking, static, or fuzz, you should turn the switch back to off, remove the cartridge, and blow on it. Repeat this as neccessary until the game appears on your television screen as it should. You may also need to blow on the machine as well.

 

Bo Jackson existed before video games. Same with QB Eagles, Bills, etc. They're based on Randal Cunningham, Jim Kelly, etc.

 

I think we need to generate a numbered list for ease in keeping track of nominations and if we're going to go to 256, that might make it simpler.

 

We're keeping it at 128.

So we're limiting it to that list of 128? Because I can think of at least a dozen right off the top of my head that deserve to be on there.
