[b]It's the first ever Non-Hosted Fanfilm Fight Competition![/b]

Based on the whines of some from the Lightsaber Competion about having a pre-made film that ahad a fight for the competition, or other squabbles about release dates and categories and stuff, we bring you the [b]First ever Non-Hosted Fanfilm Fight Competition![/b]

All films that have been created, but not hosted by TFN, are eligible. So here's the dealio:

The idea here is that you enter one fight from a piece that you have created. It can have no more than the fight itself, in a straight edit from the final cut of the film, Star Wars themed fights only.

[b]Rules:[/b]

o The film must not be hosted by FanFilms.com
o The film can be in consideration for hosting
o The fight must have lightsabers at some point
o You must find a way host the clip, and keep it hosted
o 40 megabyte limit (if you need 40 megs, you need to learn the art of compression)
o The fight must be under a day in length, for 56k viewers

[b]Dates:[/b]

Entries must be submitted (IE hosted, and all links to me) by Friday the 23rd, midnight, board time.

Entries will be viewed all day Saturday.

Voting on Sunday, the 25th.

Voting method will be decided on after some PMs are sent, stay tuned for that.

Well, that's GREAT that he is offering to host an alternative location for a comeptition. The thing is, why must there be language to the effect of taking a pot-shot at the TFN FanFilms Staff - just because some people's clips might not be accepted due to the set guidelines? That's all I'm saying.

Other than that, I am all for alternative offerings to further perpetuate the FanFilm medium.

I've got that crappy clone thing we showed at SCAD, which I uploaded last night. It has sabers...unrotoed, but whatever.

 

2, maybe if you used lowercase letters on occasion. We're still working on how judging weill be handled.

 

There's a thin line between a great lightsaber battle and a couple of nerds clacking sticks together. And that thin line is After Effects. But, man, what a difference it makes.
