Non-sentient beings...and the force

    Can a non-intelligent species use the force? Or, rather, can they "know" it and/or manipulate it?

    For example, can a Dewback or a Tauntaun, possess enough midi-chlorians to be "force sensitive"?

    I think that just before the pod race the eopie used a Force-power on Jar-Jar. Force-wind.

    why shouldn't they be able to be force sensitive? they are living just like sentient beings and are a part of the living force.

    I think that they can probably feel the force, but that you need sentience to manipulate it.
