Buff, NY North Ridge Event Ettiquette Guidelines

Several questions have been presented recently and I felt a dedicated thread with the agreed upon guidelines will help serve as a resource for all members. This is not intended to single anyone out, but rather serve as a reference for all.

Please read and acknowledge, leaving any questions/comments offline. Questions/comments may be directed to the President or VP and may be discussed at a meeting as well.

Per the January 2011 Meeting Notes:

1. For the safety of our members, we will arrive TOGETHER at events. Never under any circumstances, enter an event or person's home alone.

2. No cell phone calls or texting at the table, or while in view of the public.

3. No eating at the table. NO EXCEPTIONS.

4. Table & non-costumed personnel to help costumed members as needed, particularly the helmeted characters as their vision is limited.

5. Foul language, obscene gestures, or use of alcohol or tobacco is prohibited while at the table or in costume and in view of the public, especially children.

6. Remain in character and in costume (helmets remain on unless character appropriate - Ex. Rebel Pilots) while in view of the public

7. Never pick up or hold children for pictures

8. Stay hydrated and be sure to take plenty of breaks

9. Be polite

10. Event announcement and details will be posted to the forums by the President and/or VP (or designated member - added October 2014).

11. If participating in an event, members are expected to wear a group shirt, SWN shirt/jersey, or generic Star Wars shirt to identify as a North Ridge member. (Added October 2014)

12. Members are expected to attend the meeting prior to a scheduled event to assist with with planning and be current on any group appearance updates. Absences are excusable, when communicated.
