NorthEast NorthEast Fanforce Banner Contest

Howdy All !!!

Well, its about that time to change the Main banner in the NE.

This is a seperate Contest from the Main Page Banner contest that
just took place. This new contest is JUST for the North East Chapters
listing Page.

So everyone fire up their Photo shop or whatever else they may use
and start creating a new NE Banner! Lets have fun with this one -
Remember its your region guys! Be proud!!!

Here are the rules: (yeh I know - ugh - rules)

1. All submissions need to be submitted in the form of a Link sent to
Me via PM.

2. Submission deadline is Sept 30th 2004

3. only Members of a NE chapter may submit a banner entry.

4. EP3 spoilers are not allowed. For definition of an EP3 spoiler
please check here.


On Oct 1 all submissions will be listed here in the NE Discussion
forum for viewing and Voting for a period of two weeks

Winner of the Banner Contest will recieve a NE Banner Designer Title

just bumping this up since we are still looking for entries

 

I've spread the word with my crew already.

 

well, the deadline has come and gone and amazingly no submissions.

So I guess we are stuck with the old one for a bit

 

what is needed to do an idea anyways ... I'm computer illiterate and not good with things like that.

 

we need to have someone graphics handy who can actually design one

I am not handy like that either....

 

I can do it. I'm a designer for the University of Pittsburgh, besides being a freelancer. Just let me know what you need done and when. I fyou have the specifications of the graphics that would help tremendously. By that I mean pixel width and height, color (I assume RGB), resolution, etc.

PM me though, as I don't check the regional boards to often, just mine and other city chapters in my area.

Do you have any graphics for this?

Do you want me to just make it up?

What type of theme? (Ie-Prequel, Original, Jedi, Sith, Chapter cityscapes, famous areas from different chapters within the region, etc???)

 

Thats why we had this contest to get several ideas of someones interpretation of the region. Sal you can make up whatever you like hon

I can reopen this contest if there are others interested as well.

I think if anyone wants to submit one we can all vote on it......

I personally dont have any graphics for this. If anyone would like to help Sal and send him some graphics thats great too

 

Okay, here's what I'm thinking. Each chapter submits a group photo. Also point me in the direction of a famous building in your city. If you don't have one that's fine. Along with these, pick a few Star Wars characters you would like to be faded in with your group/building. (give me a short list of about 5 or 6 characters in priority from who you want most to least).

I'll composite the group shot and the building together and add your character. If some chapters want the same characters then the chapter who submitted first get their top pick and so on.

It would be helpful that if you have a logo for your group to send that to me as well in teh form of as high-resolution as you can .jpeg. Preferably in color, not black and white or bitmap. The logos will be composited along the left border and may slightly overlap each other. Also the logos will be faded into the composite graphic at the top next to you group/building/character composite.

So, that's one idea. If you like this, then I'll need help from each NE FF chapter with obtaining the required graphics.

I'll do the designing, but I am calling on all NE FF chapters to put forth a little effort.

in the past we had people design the banners and we voted on them. In order to get a banner everyone would like, I suggest you do one and submit it for voting. I have another person submitting one next week as well. So I will be able to post them and everyone can vote.
