***Northern Banner Competition***

As we slowly build up the Northern Chapter (1 meet away from officialdom )

I thought it would be a good idea for us to start creating our Northern Forum into our own home.

For that we need our own little banner. (We cannot use the banner till we become official though).

I have spoken with the big man and he has agreed to this little competition which is open to all you FF:UKer's.


Your task is.

To design a banner that conforms to the requirements as laid out here

There is a design a banner help page here



The banner needs to have some Northern element to it (our identity) but other than that use your imagination.

Star Wars based banners are not a requirement here but you can use elements of SciFi shows/movies in your design if you wish.

You will get the snazzy title of FF:UK Northern Banner artist



Now if thats not enough to entice you to create a banner I don't know what is.


Oh I'll also buy you a drink at the next meet that the winner and I meet at.



Post your submissions below and when we have a suitable amount of options I will select a shortlist (with the help of our able RSA) and then post a poll for us to pick the winner.


This competition will be open to all members of the FF:UK as well.

If we decide to vote for a banner with maurauding vikings is a different matter

 

Well, I was going to have the Maraudering Vikings Eviscerating Seth from Emmerdale, with Darth Vader in the background saying: "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!".

As well as some nice pics of the Yorkshire Dales and the Humber Bridge.

how about someone take a large long pic with all the members of the northen thread standing side by side and then use that as the banner for the thread ?

I'll set about doing mine tonight, I was rather busy, and when I did try it I was tired, so I forgot how to get rid of annoying bits.

As for one banner I have done on the JC used by a Fan Force, when I had connections with them I did one for MEPA - check the NYC FF banner here - http://boards.theforce.net/New_York_City,_NY/b10103/

If the banner says MEPA on it, then it's the one I made. They do seem to have hosting probs with that banner tho, not sure why lol. Maybe I am jinxed

 

Just to let you know I am working on one, I know it was meant to be this weekend by the latest really, so apologies ... I have got so far, and now I'm a bit tired and need a break for tonight. So you believe me lol, here's where I am up to:

I like the Rover's Return part. Maybe you could include a picture of inside the Rover's with cantina aliens hanging around.

When we have chosen our official CR this can then go out to a public vote and we can then get the winner up.


Closing date for entries will be when our CR is decided.

Also what do ppl want for an Icon? Like the FFUK:M one but substitute the M for N? or one completely different?
