FF:SA Norwood Christmas Pageant!!!

Sounds like there growing, this will be my first in a few years and with a new Twi'lek coming along (Assuming i can get the gear in time for her) I hope she'll catch the bug

Red Tinsel purchased for the VADER mobile!! Darth Hunky has once again been very gracious and loaned us his beautiful Black Commodore for the pageant! I have the Raindeer Horns and Nose and with the tinsel it should look lovely!!!

We are number 77! The Car must be lined up to be in place between 9.30 - 9.50 am on Sydenham Road. Notes forward to Darth Hunky, Walking participants to be in place by 9.30am. Remember to 'Christmasify' your costume!! A Hat, tinsel, balls, stars, sparkles, raindeer horns or nose!! What ever you like!

Remember, Christmasify your costume!! They have new organisers who are strict on the theme thing. They even sent me photos of what was acceptable and what wasnt! They want to see Tinsel and sparkles and Hats! Lets show them the SAFF Christmas spirit!!!

It mostly covered the vehicles, showing a car with one ribbon on it saying "not Acceptable" and another car with tinsel and ribbons saying "Acceptable". The people in the picture were the same. It showed a mum walking with a child who was decked out in Chrismtas gear but mum was wearing normal clothes. Then it went the other way with a Mum holding a kids hand with a Hat on and a bit of tinsel around her neck. I think it was mostly aimed at the parents who often walk with their kids but don't put the effort int. I don't think they want us to look like decorations ready to hang on a monster tree somewhere, but a think a Christmas accent is what they want. Like a hat on a Stormie (aka TK), or Tinsel on a lightsaber as has been done in the past. I am handling decorating Darth Hunkys car, and have gotten out my raindeer horns and nose for the car as well as tinsel. Hope that helps Merrick.

at this stage JTN-jr-1 wont be attending, as much as i would love her to in her new Ahsoka Costume. she looked so amazing at Salisbury and Glenelg

i can only hope that her mum lets her come with me, even if just her....

Thanks to everyone who participated today. Especially those who walked in a way that showed unity for Star Wars in South Australia. I note that a number of 501st and SAFF members did this, and I will be sending my thanks to the 501st on behalf of SAFF! Hopefully others will follow their example in the future.

It was great to be able to speak to some people I haven't spoken to for a long time too and to meet some new people. Shows they can look past the nonsense of the past.
So, just like last year, the rain came before, but stopped just before the pageant!

Coolest memory was hearing one kid call out "Merry Christmas Fan Force". That made me smile!

SAFF is groovy!

Yeah, he was great! Had to watch him closely though, kept running in front of the car and as Alf said, would be ironic if Vader was run over by his own car!! LOL!!
