    This was wonderful and insightful, but not very nice to tease all of us before dwellers with just this little bit of your wonderful writing. Would love to see more. :)

    That was probably one of the most insightful works in the master/ padawan relationship I have seen. Remarkable depth.

    Well done.

    How did I miss this? :eek:

    I?m not his father, but he is my son.

    That was the perfect line to describe Qui-Gon's relationship with Obi-Wan.

    Terrific. =D=

    Wow! I love it! Especially:

    So short, and yet so poignant! Very well written! I think this is the first thing I've read from you, and it is most promising!

    Keep up the good work!

    Thanks. Yeah, I'm really wanting to do another story in this era, but I'm waiting for the muse to strike with a great story.

    WOW Very deep and introspective. Loved the play between the differences between master and father. Very well done and the ending was just perfect, it put a smile on my face!

    It has been a long time, Young One, but I could not ignore the brilliance and heartfelt emotion that went into this piece. It is a perfect microcosm of the Master-Padawan relationship, but it is also uniquely Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan.

    I instill in him everything that I am and cringe at the inadequacy. Though, I am not his father, I have a father?s love. Of course, it is difficult, for I lead him into the very things that all men shield their children from. I call him to not only face the darkness of his fears and that of this galaxy, but to fight them and stand as a guardian against those weaker then him.

    This path he has chosen.

    Instead of being his strength, I will give him mine.

    Instead of chasing his fears, I will give him the power to chase them.

    Instead of being his father, I will be his Master.

    I?m not his father, but he is my son.

    The entire piece is quotable, but This ending about the difference in protecting vs preparing has awesome impact. Especially with the single line prouncements leading the final line. Brillaint!
