Orlando, FL Not really about star wars but I thought you guys might be interested...

Well my next irish dance (riverdance) competition is on Febuary 16th. It's in Orlando so it's close to some of you.

It's being held at teh Sheraton World Resort. I'll be dancing anywhere's between 8am and 3:30pm. What that means is I'll be doing 7 or eight dances during that time. It's something where you can come a little while and leave whenever you like.

You'll get to see reall irish dancing. The costumes are BEAUTIFUL, but wxpensive. And later on at night like in the evening the really advanced girls dance. You will go WOW! Honestly. We do a lot of practice.

So if if anyone is intereested in comeing just say so and I post more info.


Oh yeah and that is my excuse for having to be late at teh next meeting. I have a dance class that I can't miss. But I'll be at teh meeting.

 

Thanks for sharing Mayo! I'll definetly see what I can do about going. I'd love to see real Irish dancing. Figure since I'm Irish I ought to at least SEE some dancing.

lol, Cigam Retah. There is actually a suprising number of scottish dancers. Irish and scottish aren't that completely different.

And an irish dance competition is called a *Fies*

Darn you're good at these songs. Are you lts irish little irish or know someone who is irish.

I was considering singing that at the dance competition since there is a contest for people singing irish songs. But I decided not to given my fear of singing in front of large groups of people and jugdes.

 

I'm a pretty good mix of things, but I'd be more Irish then anything else.

 

Cool. I can't believe I only have 4 weeks left to practice for the Fies.

It's quite scary because I'm competing in a pretty high and advanced level.

 

Three weeks! That's all I have left to use to practice!

Man I did a show today and almost fell on stage. It was funny because at the end when they were having all of the different groups come on stage and bow, just me and my wo ther friends were left. Everyone else went home. So we had to get into our dresses and run onstage. In our SOCKS! It was rather funny.

 

I've got my competing number for those of you who are interested. And definite approximate times. If that last statement makes any sense.

My competing numbe is: 248

My competition levels are Prizewinner and Novas.

My dres is orange and blue.

I start dancing at 8am and then again at 10am.

The older girls(world champions)dace later in the evening.
