The man shook his head as pain rippled through him.

    ??not? spy?? he slurred.

Sounds like the after effects of a stun blast to me.o_O My bet is on Hobbie being the spy... he was always the Rogue with the lowest profile. He seems to blend in and not cause a fuss.

My dear Rose, the only reason why the last post came when it did is because you really wanted it. :p

Maybe if you push me enough I'll write it tonight. *laughs*

    *headspin* It's been two weeks?

Well, wait no longer! The post is here. :)

?I believe we can break him, Commander.?

?What good would that serve? We know he isn?t the spy.?

The younger man sighed heavily. ?Of course not, sir, but with his confession the one we?re after may reveal himself.?

The older of the two men sat there, considering it. After an indeterminate period of time, he replied, ?So we use him, the way that Tycho was used years ago.?

    ?That?s my intention, sir.?

The older man nodded, and said, ?Make it so.?

    -------

    Beep!

    Beep!

    Beep!

    Bee?

Wedge woke up to the sound of an alarm going off inside of his skull. Utterly disoriented, he opened his eyes, and for a minute or two, wondered where he was.

Then it all came flooding back to him. Hobbie. Janson. Shot, Tycho?s dead. Prison. Interrogation. Man, oh man?

He?d gotten himself into a bigger pile of bantha poodoo that ever before.

Well, there?s nothing I can do about it now, he thought sadly.

Wedge had been confined to quarters during the duration of the investigation ? two Republic guards stood outside of his door to make sure he didn?t try to leave without at least one of them with him. He was permitted contact with Iella and a few others, such as Admiral Ackbar, but for the most part, he was cut off from normal society.

And for now, there was nothing he could do about it.

He showered, dressed, and walked to the door so one of the guards could accompany him to his breakfast.

It was the start of another long day.

It's short, but I hope you enjoy it!

    'Bout time. :)

So Wedge isn't evil after all.

    Or is he?

For the moment I'm happy that Tycho didn't die in vain protecting a traitor, but I'm sure you'll find a way to strip away any sense of security I may have in that fact.

Intrested to see where this is going. Who ever proposed the idea of 'breaking' Wedge (I assume) needs a good skull bashing.

Shorter update means shorter time between posts, right? :D

    *laughs* Yes it is.

Wedge? Evil? It's open to interpretation?

Oh, no doubt, no doubt. However, the truth is far stranger than you might imagine?

Thanks. And whoever said that it was Wedge that they were going to 'break'? Remember, no names were given. :p For all we know, it could be Hobbie. Or it could be Wedge. Again, for now it's open to interpretation.

Heh, um? I hope so. :)
