Saga Not True: AU-ish version of Star Wars Ep 3, with Palps as the hero

starting work on this because my other fic POV seems to have died before I'm half way through. In this fic, everything follows the basic Ep 3 story, but with Jedi as evil plotting villains just like Palps said.

Prologue

It's often said that history is written by the winners. This is true most of the time. But sometimes, the losers are the ones who are loved, and remembered. And the history is written by them. So they are martyred, their deeds hidden, and the winners are eventually brought down by the history of the dead. This is a tale of when this happened, when a group of well-loved individuals, plotting to overthrow the government that they stood for, are destroyed by the cunning and resourcefulness of their most bitter foe. But some survived, and revenge was on their mind, longing for the day when the new rulers would be struck down, to once again submit the galaxy to their control.
