Let this be a gathering for all discussions about ND Football

    I'll start things off.

Who will Coach Weis play at QB1? Evan Sharply? Demetrius Jones? Jimmy Clausen?

Insider info for the ND quarterback situation. Take it for what it is worth, I heard the info from a radio guy who does some pre-game stuff for ND and watched the Irish all spring.

Starting QB is going to be Jones. According to the guy Sharpley does not appear to be at the same level as the other two and is only being told he is in the race so he doesn't transfer like the other QB did this spring. Clausen does not have the arm strength to be competive yet. They do relate he is accurate, but takes forever to get the ball there.

The only concern with Jones is his being pulled over in a car that had marijuna. I know it was not his, but still with ND losing the basketball player last year, they want to make sure they are covered.

So I hope I can contribute to this board

does it matter who's throwing when there's nobody out there to catch the ball?

we have a very young receiving core, but we can do it with tight ends and half backs

I think he should have stayed in the middle linebacker...he was better there...let use Alridge and Allen....use the younger guys

Aldridge still hasn't proven himself. I think with Walker out of the picture, Thomas will shine.

the irish really have to prove themselves this year because they are a young team..

reports are saying that claussen is having problems throwing pass 15 yds.

SI isn't a poll. it is how the editors/writers of SI feel.

So... they polled the writers to find out, right?

Or did they extract the information from their brains by way of some gnomish contraption?

After reviewing the ND schedule this year, I see a rough year for the Irish. Clausen again is not ready, and Sharpley is not very sharp. I see the Irish losing there first 4 games and dropping to 8th in the AP poll. :)

gotta admit that was pretty hilarious

look for a 7-5 year from the Irish, but that will be the worst year for Charlie, will always get better after this
