hopefully, we can score 28 points and build the courage to beat SC.

    ha

    that will be the day..

Its just a rebuilding year. The Offense Line looked a little better during the first half.

Notre Dame fans wanted Wies fired after loosing the home opener. Patience is not referenced in the fight song.

I am going to will ND to beat Purdue. By the power of my mind, it will happen.

That's not a bad idea, actually. Take a few personal days to wake up the echoes, send a volley chear, and shake down te thunder.

here is a question for you Domers I saw someone else ask recently.

I do agree that your team is young and learning on the job. I am amazed at how patient the core fan base is being, but were is the line. To put it simply, if ND went 0-12, should Weis be gone. What about 4-8? Tell me were is the line in the sand for you guys.

A defeated season would have great question, if we lose against Navy and then there needs to be consideration. If the head coach doesn't lose his job, and then he needs to fire his whole staff after a 0 - 12 season. I think our offensive will be better by the time of the USC game. Remember, this is Charlie's team, not Ty's team. The last two years was Willingham's team, but Charlie was able make do and had a team to perform well with veteran players. I am not making any excuses that Charlie should be able to a coach a very young team, he needs leadership in the locker room and with very little veteran leadership, its not showing. Zibby, Carlson, Sullivan, Laws, Crums, they all need to step up a notch.

Tone, I personally think that is realistic. ND barring a miracle is going to be 0-8, the key will be at that point, can Charlie get the team focused enough to win out. I think win 2 of last 4, shows improvement, give Charlie more time. But an 0-12 season and a loss to Duke and Charlie could be in serious trouble. But I say ND ends the season 3-9.

i think it's safe to say that the 2008 in the title is superfluous at this point. this team will not be getting into any bowl.

Well, let us see where the Irish are at. 0-5. Impressive, most impressive.

Actually ND may have found some life in 2nd string QB Evan Sharpley. You would think a team at 0-5 couldn't have a QB controversy, but look we got one. Sharpley showed ND's offense may be coming around. Also, to Charlie Weis, just throw it to Golden Tate, dude can play. Best offensive weapon you have.

So week 6 is here on the ND defeat tour and we have UCLA. UCLA is 4-1 we a suprising blow-out loss to Utah.

    I see a UCLA win 42-17.

bgs: Clausen and Sharpley enjoyed far more time in the pocket against Purdue than against any other opponent so far this season. Part of this was due to improved play by the offensive line, but the other part of the explanation lies in Purdue's gameplan and personnel. Purdue did not blitz as often as previous opponents, and no one in Purdue's front seven has the pass rushing ability of Philip Wheeler, Dan Connor, Sean Lee, Shawn Crable or Jonal Saint-Dic. UCLA's Bruce Davis is a 5th-year senior who recorded 12.5 sacks last year. Facing Davis will tell us a good deal about how much Notre Dame's pass protection has actually improved.
