Welcome all to the November New Stories Index for the Before the Saga Board:

This Index will be updated daily with new fan fiction stories from this board, and at the end of the month all of these stories will be combined to make a master list, along with fics from both the Beyond the Saga and The Saga Boards.

Summary: Obi-wan had a dream that he would become a Jedi, his path was set.
Until he met Qui-Gon Jinn, for a while he struggled to remain on the path, but pain and rejection caused him to seek another path.

A path that would see him no longer a Jedi, and no longer living in the Temple

Summary: Dooku recounts a rather interesting experience that his former padawan had with a certain tree. If you?ve read ?Couches?, this is sort of a sequel to that.
Notes: So I owe a huge thank you to Layren and Nienna_Narmolanya for their wonderful beta-ing skills. Also, this fic would not be here if Layren hadn?t taken to inspiring me to write it and then poking me at every turn to see if I?d written it. So thank you to her for making me get off my lazy, lazy bum and finally do some writing!

Here's your recipe! I give you Squash Casserole! (Yes, I know it sounds gross, but really it's quite good.)

1 1/2 cups of cooked yellow squash
1 cup medium sharp cheese, grated
2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup of cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup scalded milk
salt and pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients, adding hot milk last. Pour into greased 6x12 baking dish. Bake 1 hour at 350º. Serve hot.

Just stating this is a fairly dark, angsty one shot from me. No one is really the good guy in this piece, and there is no happy ending. Just thought I should warn you. Enjoy!

This is the big one I've been promising the past couple of months! Those of you familiar with my other stories will be familiar with The Dakari and the characters involved. If you've just stumbled across my work, never fear you'll catch up quickly with my OCs and their little slice of GFFA. This piece is a the prequel to my short piece Blank Slate Waits and also loosely tied to Folklore: The Lights of Priest's Plain. Furthermore, this is part of the bigger backstory of Burn!Burn!Burn!.

EDIT: Forgot this. Might help a little. The Challenge: A common goal links a group of OCs, and in the midst of trying to achieve their goal, a great confrontation awaits them; something that has less to do with the quest and more to do with the things that reside in their hearts and minds.

Disclaimer: GL owns it all. *bows respectfully* I'm just playing in his sandbox (hee, Tatooine's sandy, get it? Hee! ).
Notes: This is a really weird little viggie thing. The idea came to me in the shower (and Tatooine's a desert, go figure) and I just had to write it, because it involves Tatooine. Yes, I am obsessed. Any comments are very appreciated. Even criticism-type comments about characters or the idea itself or whatever.


Title: The Contrast Between Love and Loyalty

This is more an experiment then anything. I really should stop writing in class, it tends to spawn things like this. Its probably ackward, and confusing, expecially on events, since its mostly a descriptive piece. Just a note, the event mentioned in the Loyalty part is supposed to be the Melida/Daan incident, and the one after it is about the event mentioned in the Love section, just to let everyone know. Title: Where Honor Lies

Timeframe: This is still a bit undecided, for now I think, about, anywhere from 4-8 years before TPM.
Characters: Some of my OC's, a young Padme', young Anakin Skywalker, and some other characters owned by George Lucas.
Genre: Drama, a bit of action and a little bit of romance, some other things too.
Summary: This is a story about an OC of mine who is, excluding Padme', pretty much the only other honorable senator/representative of Naboo so far. There will also be some Padme'/Anakin moments, etc. It's kind of hard to explain, please read and tell me what you think!
Notes: I'm really sorry if this story doesn't go along with the books, I sadly haven't kept up with them. I tried to keep some things vague so it wouldn't go too much out of the story line. I hope you guys like this, please give me any type of criticism you want, I need all the help I can get. Thanks for taking the time to read this And, on a last note, it's sad to say but I never really knew Anakin and Padme's exact ages in TPM, but I'm guessing Padme' was about 15 or 16 and he was 9 or 10? So, in my story, some parts Padme' is younger but for the most part she is about 14. Also, I've never really been sure of whose Padme's parents or family was, and how she ended up becoming queen, so this is partially my tale of it.
