I occasionally see (nt) behind the thread titles on the YJCC. What do these two letters mean/stand for?

    Sith Droid out.

It just means that the person hasn't posted any message, but rather simply a topic. I'm not sure what the initials stand for, though.

I have always guessed that the initials stood for No Text....meaning nothing was put into the message box. I could be wrong though.

Ah yes, "no text" sounds logical. I hadn't thought of that.

Yup, like everyone else has already stated, it means that no text was submitted with the creation of the topic.

That also happens when people post polls. I guess if they don't add any text themselves, then the actual poll doesn't count as text.

but that of course is only since we even have the option to write a text for the first post

Technically, there's always been an option to add text in the first post. The difference is that it just recently started to show up.

you could mod-edit it in (and it didn't show up)

but you didn't get a text box for a message body. only the poll options.

Interesting. I had never actually bothered to wonder what it stood for. When you say the letters aloud in quick succession it sounds a lot like "empty" and I've been processing it as that for my entire time here.

I always wondered what it meant.

"No Text" seems logical to me but I never really could figure out what it meant.

This is new knowledge? Surprising. Then again, in my time here it hasn't been used to often.

NT is an acronym used on message boards meaning No Text and indicates that the body of the message is empty.

it always registered in my mind as "no topic," but text seems like a more logical word for the "t."
