    Obviously the name Nute Gunray is a conflation of Newt Gingrich and Ronald Reagan, I get that. But what is George Lucas trying to say with this character? Is it a cheap one-liner or a serious critique of the GOP of the 80s and 90s? I hope it is, but would like more explanation. Please help and elaborate. Thanks.
