NYC, NY NYC Halloween Parade

I've been asked to post this...

Hey Gang,

Now that Dragoncon is over the next really big thing coming our way is Halloween. For those you you who don't know Friday October 31st, 2003 there will be a HUGE halloween parade in the village. This is something that you do not want to miss out on.

Here are all the details for the parade.

Halloween Parade

Right now I envison meeting everyone in costume on 6th ave between Spring and Broome
starting at 6:30. Everyone NEEDS to be there by 7:30 at the LATEST.

Dion is in the process of planning a group dinner at Planet Hollywood for those intrested parties.

If anyone wants to get a hotel I would recommend the best western we stayed at last year. Best Western I am pretty sure this is where we stayed last year....rates are 200 beans and up for one night. The price is reasonable (for NYC) but you might want to check availability as soon as possible.
Things fill up fast. If anyone finds a better hotel please let me know.

After the parade all members are free to to whatever night spot appeals to them.

Then Saturday is Chiller...and Sunday is the NYC Marathon where our own Leon "the brit" will be running for the glory of the ECG (and a small island called the UK) It promises to be a crazy and fun weekend hope to see you all there!!!

I Hope a few more of the Rebel Troopers show up! This way, the diversity of Star Wars fandom in this area is fully represented.

Wish I could Ed but I have priorities and Tori wants to go to Sleepy Hollow that night for Legend night.

I MAY be at Chiller but will most likely be conducting business for my convention there so I am not likely to dress up although I may for a few minutes.

I'll be there. And i'll be there for chiller too. Im in the process of getting Nov 1st off from work.

 

me and ....my Wife , will be there...not sure what we're gonna do about costumes. We haven't had time to put anything together with all the other planning...plus its only a week after we get back.
So we might not march this year, but will show up for support and to get pics...and probably hit our goth club afterwards

Yay! I've been looking forward to this. It marks my one year anniversary in SW Fandom. yippee. LOL. I know, who the hell cares, hahah, but anyways. I will indeed be marching in the parade, probably somewhere in between you guys and the ECG (I only assume we'll all be marching together as Star Wars fans). But I'm not doing a SW costume for the parade, at least that's the plan. LOL. I'll be a Ghostbuster and will *hopefully, if he comes* be marching along side Jay from the 501st Legion. He's a Ghostbuster too and is filming a documentary while there. Can't wait to see everyone there again in costume!

As for Chiller, I will be there as well,in a SW costume, but only Sat since Sun is Leon's Marathon.

Just wanted to let everyone know the parade is open to ALL people who wish to participate. No one needs an invitation from any person or group. You can dress in Star Wars gear or not that's up to you but the important thing is you have fun.

 

I'm gonna go(1 friend will come too)! I'll be either: Jedi, Obi-Wan, Anakin, OR possibly a Stormtrooper!
