FF:NZ NZ finally on Google Earth...

There's quite a bit of detail across NZ on Google Earth now, including most of the major centres. I've only just noticed so not sure how long it's been up... not long though.

Just incase anyone wanted to know!

 

the North Shore has been good for ages. Looking at it now, most of central Auckland is either covered in cloud or else highly pixelated. Frustrating given how good the res. is in a lot of other places.

 

Hey, I can (finally) see my house from up here!

 

I find it strange how a large chunk of Auckland is still not detailed... but ChCh looks great, I can see all my old haunts.

 

Hamilton looks like crap.

 

So, an accurate representation then?

nice try, but taking the piss out of yourself after it's already been done doesn't quite win the kudos it does normally

 

This isn't a real map of Auckland! I can't find Papa-two-toes!

I wonder if anyone aside from my slightly crazy relatives actually calls Papatoetoe that.

Papa-two-toes isn't anything new.

 

Papatoetoe is there, just follow the motorway south. I can see Hunter's Plaza and the recreation grounds.

 

I think he was just making an australian excuse for saying Papa-two-toes.

 

I've got it on my pc at work and at home.

It's great at work cos i can get some great aerial shots for things im working on. And when i want to sift it's a great time waster, especially the 3D building mode in big cities!
