    after ob1 cuts anakin's legs/arm off and when he gets burned..how come ob1 jus leaves him there??did he think that he was dead??and then in ANH was he surprised 2 c vader??[face_thinking]

    he left him there because he was burning alive for christ's sake. would you check to see if a person was dead after being burned or would you assume that he was?

    EDIT: this thread belongs in the sith forum by the way.

    To answer your question, Obi-Wan would rather leave Anakin's fate to the will of the Force rather than directly kill his "brother."
