By Enterprise syndrome, I mean that, even though in ST shows the Enterprise was far from the only ship in the fleet, they were the ships that seemed to get all the action, all the interesting crew members and assignments and whatnot.

It seems to be the same way with these two Padawans. Darsha from DMSH didn't seem to have much experience at all. In TAS it talks about how little relative experience Barriss has. Most apprentices seem to spend much more time on Coruscant, and yet Obi and Ani are always galivanting around the Galaxy on these damned fool idealistic crusades, getting far more experience and for more dangerous missions it seems than their counterparts.

Well, they would hardly write a book about Obi-Wan and Anakin sitting in the Jedi temple having a cup of tea would they???

How do you know the others do nothing? They do, they just don't go around bragging about it like OB1 and Ani do :D

Why was it in the OT that it seemed that the magnificent 7 got all the action? Why do they get most of the action in the EU?

Yes we know there are other heroes out there, in both star trek and star wars franchises, but everything revolves around a group of key players. Because they are the fan favorites, and that is what the movies and shows are about.

I think, in reality, we don't know what the majority of Jedi and their apprentices are doing. I think it is safe to assume that instances such as those at Naboo in TPM and Anison in TAS are not the only problem spots in the galaxy. Given the tenuous state of the Republic, it's possible that there are Masters and apprentices on missions throughout the galaxy. What's impossible is to tell all of their stories. So, the stories focus on the characters and stories that lead us into the movies. There's only so many pages and so much screentime. :)
