Here is a thought. Old Ben will contact Luke and tell him to access the Holocron files of the young Ben. Problem solved.

Yes, the Audrey Hepburn figure doesn't quite work somehow. I'm not sure whether it's the movement in the face but it doesn't look quite right. As a photographic still, it isn't bad but it doesn't look natural when you watch the actual advert. Beowulf looked pretty good at the time it was released. By coincidence, it was on TV here last night and even my 68 year-old father commented on how the CGI characters didn't look very good. Didn't know that about JEJ not voicing Vader in RoTS.

Anyone still reading this thread needs to get Johnny Miller's KENOBI. It's the Kenobi western you're looking for (with a large dose of Shane).

It does sound good. I don't get into the books too often, but I think that one's a must

Not a terrible idea. If this was the case, I would hope that Old Ben was in voice only.

Hearing the audiobook at the moment it is read by Kenobi's TCW voice...great so far. As I said, Kenobi's adventures on Tatooine would make a great TV mini series...

Exactly. Young Obi Wan force ghost IS a problem. "Solving" it through technical justifications would be insulting.

I usually spend most of my time bashing the eu, but perhaps I'll give it another try for the 4th time.

How can Obi Wan be in Tatooine? Was he so paranoid at one point that he used the Sandcrawler to dig into the planet's core and hide there?

And you know Tatooine isn't a city in Tatooine because.....? :p

No, it's not. Just put on some old age makeup and be done with it.

Well . . . ok. You are contradicting what I said with a completely different argument. Given what I said, I would be far more ok with an aged Ewan McGregor in the same way as Obi Wan force ghost appeared in the trilogy than a technical justification as to why he looks young, that was my point.

Why is it some big problem? You can explain the difference away in some random throw-away excuse and move on. Not everything needs a 20 page mythology book behind it.

Alec Ginness is dead, young Obi-Wan must be represented - case closed.

I do agree with you @3PO and I so wish I could like your comment, but you do have a certain curtness to your statements, and with that you do come across a bit, grumpy, shall we say?

Your real name isn't Sheldon is it? :p

This pretty much sums it up! If the new trilogy requires that Obi-Wan make an appearance as a Force Ghost then I would prefer that Ewan McGregor play him with some aged make up or some old digital enhancement of his face that looks like Alec Ginness which would look much much older now anyway if he were alive. Regardless, Either would be fine, really, as long as the role maintains a live actor behind it.
