Someone posted Slashfilm's link to Reddit instead of Latino Review and he's getting all mad about it. So I voted it up, on both my Reddit accounts...

People should be citing the original source I think. I'd be pissed off if it was my hard work too.

I am fairly certain that has to do more with integrity than it does LR needing attention.

 

So, I guess we'll see them all. It will be an extravaganza of old, with some new, Star Wars characters. Hayden will be back. Frank Oz and Yoda. Will anyone rest in peace? I hope the old characters are in the back of the story, giving the story weight, and the new characters are front and center, being developed and given progression enough for us to enjoy and relate to on a personal basis. This MUST be their story as much or more so as it is a continuation of the older characters stories.

 

Holy dayum I would pay to see that... I was hoping for Palps vs Obi in RoTS! It would be quite symbolic too seeing the two "masters" fight.

The new Latino Review fake scoop was that Obi Wan is returning as a Force Ghost! ha ha ha!

Wow. This "scoop" is even more underwhelming than the Palpatine scoop.

I guess next week they will "scoop" that Lando and Chewbacca are returning!

They need to get their heads together and make something up something outrageous. If not they won't get the hits that drive their income!
They are playing it too safe!

Good to see most fans are not falling for this!

They should lock this thread and just create one for rumors, otherwise some unsuspecting fan may show up and think that these rumors are true!

In one version of ROTJ Obi-Wan came back from the Force into the real world to help Luke out while Yoda protected Luke from the Emperor's lightning!

I'd say it makes perfect sense that he'd have some role and it hardly matters if he appears to Luke as his younger self. He's only a ghost and I could see a transitional scene where we see Alec's Obi then morph into Ewan's Obi.

 

I still want to see CG Alec Guinness, maybe with Ewan's voice. The above notion of Alec "morphing" into Ewan would be... acceptable.

 

I'm happy with Ewan returning to Star Wars be it Ep VII or a standalone movie. I also don't mind if they use makeup to make him look old or if they just go with the way Ewan looked in Ep III. CGI just wouldn't be right.

He wasn't in the PT, no problem with that.

 

That is kinda wrong considering how the PT was the story of his downfall (even if it only included 3 minutes real Vader footage).

I am hoping for a supremely creepy holo recording-

 

I remember waaaaay back when when Supershadow posted the (undoubtedly true!!111!!!) treatments for Eps.7-9, and they featured an army of Sith who were apparently all big Vader fans and all dressed like him.

Anyway, back to Obi-Wan.

 

The white armor thing was cool in Infinities but I don't like the looks in that pic. Major respeck to the person for designing it though.

 

Yeah, I think it looks ugly. But it just struck me that could be re-designed to look better--it doesn't have to be exactly Vader's armor. And maybe then it's the armor worn by "The Shade."

 

I must be the only one not excited by this news

I want new characters, new stories, not hogwashing over past characters.

To me Obi-Wan's story is finished, he guided Luke to destroy the empire, good, now he can RWTF (Rest with the force) or whatever the equivalent to RIP is in the GFFA.

To me this is sounding more like a Thundercats live action movie with Obi-Wan as Jaga.

In fact expect the next news to be:

Luke has a lightsaber that lets him see sight beyond sight, and Palps dressed in a big red robe by a bubbling couldron.

 

Don't jump at conclusions, Obi-Wan might well have only 2 minutes of screen time. That's hardly hogwashing over past characters.
