Full Series Obi-Wan in Rebels

Didn't belong to him personally though - that droid was probably the property of the Jedi Order as a whole, and merely assigned to him at some point.

 

I am not a fan of this.

You and me both. Rebels should be able to tell their story without having to borrow from ANH. This inclusion of Obi-Wan indicates a lack of faith in their own characters.

 

My issue isn't that they are using other characters. I wish they would focus more on other characters. I just don't think Obi-Wan should be appearing in the flesh to any type of rebels before ANH. Same goes for Yoda.

 

I'm concerned about how they handle Obi-Wan. He needs to keep a very low profile. Surely a battle between Maul and Obi-Wan would send out a disturbance in the force.

 

Maul doesn't seem intent to kill/battle Obi Wan so much as he is obsessed with finding him. "Hope" doesn't seem like it would involve killing someone, after all.

 

*Obi-Wan hears a knock"
*opens the door while yawning and holding a cup of coffee in his bathrobe, sees Maul standing there with a doofy grin on his face*
Obi-Wan: Dammit man are you kidding me? Hold on, let me go get my lightsaber and we can finish this like men.
Maul: There's no need for that, friend. I was just thinking the two of us should sit down and talk, we were so busy trying to murder each other that we never really got to know each other.
*pushes past Obi-Wan and sits on the couch*
Maul: So how has your day been? Wonderful weather we're having, have the Sand People given you any trouble lately?
Obi-Wan: I liked you better when you were impaling the woman of my life.

It has gotten worse after season 1. I hope that season 4 returns to the crew focused on more local things. For whatever reason the rebels stick to some other planet while helping some growing resistence against the empire. With a focus on new characters they meet and
Less OT/TCW characters appearing.

 

They meet him and Kana starts to call him "Master Kenobi" but gets cut off at "Mast..." when Obi-Wan tells him "It's Ben...just Ben."

 

As I said I would be very disappointed if Maul goes to fight Kenobi because that's just lazy storytelling.

For real.

 

Almost as many times as Luke has fought Vader.

 

well if you count the space battles and comics...

 

Then Luke has fought Vader like 6 times. or more like 12000!

 

However many times it's done. It's still boring

I don't see what everyone's problem is with Obi-Wan vs Maul. It would be interesting to see Kenobi's fighting style in this time period. It could also redeem the ANH duel.

 

I'd like to see Obi-Wan be the one who takes Maul down once and for all. The poetic justice is already set in stone since Maul killed his master and his gf. The Old Wounds non-canon comic was cool but I hate when 2 characters who are destined to battle end with one character being killed by a random stranger with no connection to the conflict. (In this case Owen shooting Maul.) Anyway, I'd love to see it. Just have Kenobi get his status back as the first Jedi to kill a Sith in years.

 

So....uh...yeah. This is a thing.

Who's doing the voice? I've heard it's Stephen Stanton, but has that been confirmed?
