Interesing...when will this be on TV?

 

I'm not quite sure I'll watch it. Some, as TPTB, are happy that they can "tell they stories", as they expressed it. But that unfinished state is a bit of a challenge to watch for me. (IF they just want to tell the story, can't they publish a book? Then my imagination could supply the rest).

As for the clip I looked at - I'm not convinced.

 

That's music to my ears! I hope it becomes a reality, with Ewan back in the cloak

 

I'll be really disappointed if there's no Obi-Wan film with Ewan.

On another note, I don't like the animation of Obi-Wan in Star Wars Rebels.

 

LOL I don't like the idea of someone other than Ewan being Obi-Wan ... and I'd like to keep his face the way it was in E3. LOL Dang it! LOL So hard to please.

 

Speaking of Ewan, any news on that?

Is there someone close enough to see him in case this is still on?

 

Well, unless something has changed, Ewan is there now performing the play, and Serendipityaey (Ash) is there (or was there) to see him in the play.

 

Aren't they going to bo in book form?

He just started the play on Oct 2nd, previews right now. Opening night is officially Oct 30 I believe and it runs until January. I am going in December! And I can't wait! I hope I can get a picture, and I should be able to. He's been kind about meeting fans after as usual. I have a friend going this weekend. The play sounds wonderful, right up his alley. He tweeted about getting to see his name ("a wee lad from Scotland") up in lights on Broadway and he was very excited. So cute

 

That would be a surreal experience for someone in relation to their past experience....how so cute.. And it's adorable he hasn't gotten too "big" to appreciate that.

A fantastic idea, as long as it's Ewan and Liam and please, please, no romance! Not in the films!

Owen Lars is said to be on the film too...maybe we can finally see Obi's "childhood" on the big screen!

 

In the article they said that "in the books" Owen Lars was Obi-Wan' brother.

Which books are they talking about (JA?)? Does anyone have more details about this supposed relationship?

 

I believe it was the original book written (I think) by George Lucas in the seventies with the release of the very first Star Wars...originally he had apparently envisioned Owen Lars as Obi-Wan's brother, but I'm not certain that is the source...I just think I remember it that way.

Of course, many years later when Lucas was putting together the prequels he either forgot that detail, or changed his mind.

Wow, I need to find the ROTJ book, or maybe I did read it once. It seems like a few years ago pre-ff, I began with the JA books and read all the books in chronological order all the way to the ROTJ book.
