I just got off work, opened up the WOrd file, felt queasy about the draft, and came here to procrastinate.
Yeah, the boys are in terrible trouble. And then I was looking at Ash's picture of them and thinking I can't do it. But I must... it is my duty to inflict pain. I will do what I must...

"I /am/, master. Are you puffing out your chest like that becasue Master Tahl is around here somewhere?"
"Brat. you will pay for that in the dojo later."

Yes, well, it's a role reversal for me and I must admit it's quite fun. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas, and begging for stories is so much easier than MAKING them up!!!

Guys! Where is the next challenge?! You can't just stop like that! This where you guys wrote last:

By Val- "Hello folks," a cheery voice piped up from the other side of the mandrangea beans. "What brings you to my little love bower? I rent it by the quarter hour; for a bit extra, you can expand your horizons and try a threesome." The voice tittered and a grungy, rotund little man waddled forward, idly kicking blossoms aside.

"You want to go away," Obi-Wan snapped.

I *was* around during disco. Yes. And long hair on boys and straight hair on girls. Nothing was cool, there were no cell phones like today, we learned to type on typewriters (manual, even), no text messaging, there was no Windows (it was being developed about that time) - heck, I grew up with a black and white TV when most shows were still in black and white, Cronkite, Brinkley and Huntley were the newscasters and you'd never see a female anchor because people "don't like women's voices." We had no remotes, either - had to get up and switch the channel, of which there were only 13 or so. There were cigarette commercials but none for Viagra or "women's products."

Note most of the latter truly was when I was *quite young.*

It's not our fault. He said to go away, and if ever there were a group pf girls susceptible to his mind influence, we are it. And so we went away.
End of story. If anything happened after that, we don't know.

OMG...where did you find that pic...I also wondered how a pic of Ewan so young got here...but he was so cute...and so probably strawberry blonde...

and his early lightsaber practice stick...:p

    Ewan was born in 1972...ok, 1971...thats right. I keep thinkings it's 1972...and I was 13.

I graduated in 1976, too. Bicentennial was the big thing my senior year. EVERYTHING was about the bicentennial. :p

Oh and Val, sounds like my childhood...black and white TV, 3 channel TV until the early seventies when TV expanded to 13 channels...it was a huge thing when a fourth TV station was added to the big three...then shortly or around the same time, PBS came along, and I don't remember what else.

typing on real typewriters, record players, collecting 45s, I watched our black and white TV as a six year old watching the news coverage of the assassination of President Kennedy and not understanding the ramification,

The early seventies in my early teen years was still long enough ago to have pics like Ewan taken...it wasn't yet the digital age...but starting to get there. This is why the original Star Wars was such a huge thing...we had never seen anything like it.

Indeed, Star Wars was fresh and different in 1977. That was a huge part of its cultural impact. Huge. And a "damsel in distress" who gave as good as she got to the boys (verbal sparring) - some folks were horrified by this and considered Leia a right (female dog).

I remember it was a huge surprise to Lucas and the cast when Star War became such a huge success. Before the movie came out they didn't know if they could justify a sequel at the time...then BOOM! :p

Does that mean that the challenge ends there? Does it mean that I can write "The End"?
