Yes, I am new user until Sep 21 I think. Thanks, I do not know why I missed up that thread. It is a little bit expensive, but I think is worth the price. I really want that buckle made. :_|

I recently finished the "Mustafar" version of Obi-Wan's Ep. III tunic/tabards/obi:

    http://www.sistersola.com/obiwan.html

The distressing was done by wearing holes in the fabric with sandpaper, then burning with match flame (lighter is too strong a flame, candle spills wax), painting in the burn spots with water-diluted orange acrylic paint mixed with a tiny bit of black to dull it down, then overall 'soot-effect' with flat black spray paint. I think it could actually use another layer of the 'soot' paint. Although it seems to depend on the lighting, sometimes it looks like enough, other times not.

    Sister Sola,
You did a great work. Tell Pootie that he did it too :). Excellent fabric, is that crinkled gauze? I was planning to build two costumes. One for my wedding and another one the C4, yes I am planning to assist to c4 as honey moon :)

I am not the damaged/worn kind guy, so I will never dare to damage my costume, or my lightsaber but I love when people do it.:D.

Did you did the under tunic full brown or like the original one?

Thanks rebel-agent! I'll tell Pootie that you gave him kudos too :)

It's not crinkle gauze, no, just a loose-weave crinkle cotton, a bit closer to the real costume but still not right on.

I did not make the brown undershirt - but I believe it is a full shirt, not like the movie costume.

Great! I love cats. I have two at my parents home. I usually keep them away from my sw collectibles and costumes :)

Were you able to see the fabric I found for the tunic? No screen accurate, does not have the raised pattern, but I am really happy with it.

I wore my (nearly complete) Obi-Wan Episode III Mustafar at GenCon this year. I cut holes in the fabric, distressed the edges by hand, and then created the burn marks with an airbrush and fabric paint. Some pics from the con:

Not yet. I bought a cheap fabric to start doing a prototype last week. I will start this Saturday. Hope to have some photos next week.:D

I do not want to rush the things. My wedding is in Dec 9, so I have time. No Halloween party, no big conventions. But I started the belt, I will buy the boots very soon (Motorcowboy ones). The pouches are done. Even the leather one. Keep you posted. What do you think about the fabric?

    Talking about the belt...
I recently noticed that in the original one, the borders of the main leather piece are rounded, not flat like the one Anakin used on screen, If you know what I mean. And It is not perfectly cut. Is it me or am I right?

About the boots, cause I think they are expensive but, probably worth the money, could you check this:

    vs.

    http://motorcowboy.zoovy.com/product/STAR5

I think MotorCowboy updated again theirs boots after your incident.

Hello SuperChill, I am doing Obi-Wan Replica Belts right now. This is the Anakin one I did http://www.theforce.com.ar/Scripts/WebFormsLibrary/MainContainerForm.asp?iAction=2&lNewsId=65

But, the only part missing to finish them is the belt buckle. My first prototype was this one:

But, did not work. The factory I contacted never finished them.
Hope that helps! I will be posting a tutorial about my belt very soon.

    About the belt...
Did anybody notice that the belt closure was not completely painted? I am planning to do it that way, but those photos are from ATOC. Do you know if ROTS belt was made the same way?

    R-A;

But, you must make them finish them! And then you must let us know when they're done!!!

Or... "offer-up" that proto-type... me likes... and needs...

    Hello there!

Here is the first part of this tutorial. I started cutting the leather. I will show you how I did it and some tricks and tools I used for. Always in Spanish, so I encourage you to use babelfish or google. I am sorry.
