    Your wish is my command!

Yesterday I dyed and gave texture to the leather. I posted a photo from the original belt to compare it. The photo was supplied by Randy Eveland from EEUU.

Next step, assemble the belt closure. If you have any question about it, do not hesitate in contact me.

PS: Do not forget to see the high resolution images.

Here we go again. This time I built the belt closure and prepared the belt strap loops. I applied the flat rivets too. You will see a photo from the original one to compare it. I only have to dye them and they are ready. Next step is the main body.

    Hope that helps!

Hello there! The belt closures are done. I started to work on the main body as you will see here.

    http://www.theforce.com.ar/Scripts/WebFormsLibrary/MainContainerForm.asp?iAction=2&lNewsId=84

Next time, I will apply the velcro and a temporary belt buckle I found. Hope that helps!

Ok, as I promised last time, here is the temporary belt buckle assembly. The belt strap is adjustable and the belt buckle removable. ASAP the belt buckle replica is ready I will replace it. But, this one helped me to finish that part of the belt. Next time I will apply the Velcros and the button studs to the main body. I will glue the belt strap to the main body and the belt will be finished.

Matt, answering to your question, that costume is not even close to accurate! The color of the tunic is wrong, check the real color here:

    http://www.theforce.com.ar/Scripts/WebFormsLibrary/MainContainerForm.asp?iAction=2&lNewsId=74

The boots are not accurate at all. Check motorcowboy website for a pair of them.

The belt, capsules and pouches are really wrong. What can I say, If you are looking for a Halloween costume is right, but if your are looking for a high quality stuff, do not buy it.

Well, since Celebration IV is in Los Angeles and I can drive there, or take the train, and sleep in my own bed at night I figured I should do a new costume. So I am throwing my hat into the OWK ROTS ring.

I've got 6 months to work on the costume. So far I have time scheduled with Capt. Carter for January for my tunics. I got an MR FX saber on the way and plan to have it converted by Ultra Sabers so I can remove the blade and wear it on my belt. I have one of Diego's nice belts speeding to me across North and South America. I have an order in on the RPF for a replica of Obi's buckle in silver. I also recently found a guy in Malaysia who has a boot maker who makes a nice replica of the ROTS boots for less than motorcowboy yet better quality and fit than the guy from Singapore on eBay.

I am testing out growing my beard out to OWK length much to the chagrin of my girlfriend. I've basically had the Ewan MacgRegor haircut from ROTS for a year now. Actually took screen shots into my hair stylist. How nerdy is that?

I think all I am missing is pouches and I have a few leads on those. I have a bunch of Staedtler pen caps and hemispheres that I got last year for the food capsules. Just need to paint them. I think I am gonna forgo a robe since I always get way too hot in wool stuff.

Chris, good to hear that. I am planning to assist to C4. You know I am working on the pouches, the resin ones and the leather one, which I did a prototype a few months ago. About the boots, I got a deal in eBay about them, and paid only 399 plus shipping. Cause I bought the EP1 boots from Jim last year I am very confident he will be able to do them right. Next week I am going to get my EEUU Visa at the embassy. Wish my luck!

Great to have you in the ranks! It sounds like you are off to a good start. There need to be more Kenobis out there to catch up with the army of Anakins.
lol about the hair. I do the same thing. My wife has been very patient. Her biggest complaint is the beard.
Looking forward to photos when you start putting the look together.

Talking about the costume. Does anybody know the measurement for the under-tunic collar? You know what I mean. I calculated that the tunic collar is about 5cm wide, so I estimated that each of the two little collars are about 1.5 cm at the front and a 1 cm at the back of the neck. I do not know If I was clear about.

Thanks for the welcome. I did an Anakin last Halloween and sold it off this spring. I don't make a convincing Haydne Christensen; more a Ewan MacGregor knockoff really. So I know a bunch of those Anakin kids who are now over at sunofthesuns.com. Hopfeully I can convice one of them to troop around with me at CIV.

I'll definitely post pics. I won't have tunics until the spring so it'll be a while. But I have an interesting lead on some boots from a guy in Malaysia. I will definitely keep that updated since they offer a nice mid way between the cheap eBay boots and the 400 hundred buck Motorcowboy ones.
