    Hey everyone!!!
Halloween is fast approaching (2 weeks from monday!!!) and my episode 3 obiwan costume is nearing completion, with only the belt, saber and boots to finish(yes, boots, as the ones I bought won't zip all the way up, I am making a small cuff to cover them which shouldn't detract too much from them).

Anyway, I was wondering, does anyone know what color obiwan's food pellets are? I saw an e1 version saying they are 4 silver and 8 gold, but I am not sure if they stayed the same (I thought a pic I saw had some copper ones too), or where they are positioned...if anyone could help, that'd be great!

    Thanks you guys!

Obi-wan has 8 pellets. 2 gold, 2 copper, 2 silver, and 2 gun metal. On the display at C3 he has 4 on the front right side, just in front of his right side pouch. From right to left they go: gun metal, copper, gold, then silver. On his left back side just behind the small pouch they go as follows: silver, copper, gun metal, and then gold. I hope that is a help.

Very nice fabric. I love the flow of it.
But from the pics it looks a bit too dark... Maybe you can ask them to send you a swatch? Just in case before you spent a lot of money... :)

What do you guys think of the new MR ObiWan FX?
My guess was, that they adjourn the release of the Obi Wan FX till the technique for the FX fits into the hilt... but what do you know? If the technique is too big for the hilt, make the hilt fit the technique =D=
I'm totally disappointed with how it turned out...

Eish! Me too. Too bad, an Obi FX saber would really be sweet, as I don't think I'd be able to afford an LE anytime soon. That neck, yuck. Man, that is really too bad.

yuo think thats bad you should see the stunt sabers...

Really it HAS to be that big, 1" blad cannot fit in a 1/2" neck...

Honestly its fine, and its a toy.

Well, it has to be that thick at the moment.
I really thought they would manage to fit in the technique into the thinner part some day...

A good thing is like tfn reported that they seam to be even more robust than the older FX sabres.
Justin, too true... It's still a toy. ;)

Yeah, who can tell with monitors? I ordered a swatch last night. Is Obi-Wan's cloak in Ep III about the same as in Ep II? In the promo pictures for ROTS it looks almost reddish, in other lights more gold cast. And look at these two from AOTC right next to each other
    [image=http://www.padawansguide.com/promo/images/obiwan2_promo.jpg] [image=http://www.padawansguide.com/promo/images/obiwan3_promo.jpg] Which one is correct? :eek:p

So yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting that swatch ;o) Who knew it would be so incredibly difficult to find an acceptable shade of brown, weight, stiffness, texture and price of cloth for a Jedi robe?? lol. The best stuff I found at the fabric store (called wool felt, I think it's the same as what I've found here) was too dark and $30 dollars a yard! No thank you, I'm not willing to spend $240 on a robe!!

Me too. But I am guessing that MR doesn't want to wait too long to release this saber. The farther away from the movie release, often, the less demand there is.

Does anybody else think that the brown undertunic fabric looks like turtleneck material? ...lol

Heather maybe we could find someone on the boards who is willing to scan their ObiWan swatches from the Trisha Biggar book. But well... then again monitors.. ;)

But from the pics you postet your fabric find looks pretty good.
I had a lot more reddish fabric in mind for the robe... Some kind of reddishdarkbeigebrown if you know what I mean :p

Lmao, a new color! We were watching Napolean Dynamite last night and I pointed to Napolean's brown suit (for the dance) and said "That would make a good Obi-Wan robe!" And he was like "Ew, that nasty reddish brown??" So I think reddish brown is out, lol. Of the colors I gave him to choose from he went right for the more golden brown *shrug* I should show him the ROTS promo pics ;o) So since it's his cloak, I have to make it so he won't be complaining for the rest of his life *sigh*

Speaking of the Obi-wan saber, does anyone know where to get a MK style grenade or a grenade replica that isnt like the parksaber silver piece, but rather gun metal?

Did you get that from TFX Studios on ebay? My bro. in-law has that one and it's sweet. I also got my Anakin saber from him. Top quality work!
