I'm sure this has been asked, but when exactly is the fx saber hitting the shelves? I've seen May all the way to August. When is it coming out?!

I'm not sure actually. On Masterreplica.com it say only "summer 2006". And n a German online.shop it says shipping starts in october...
    Doesn't really help :( ;)

I have a friend who wants this saber and he keeps asking when it's going to come out. But I keep having to tell him I don't know. He's getting anxious.

Yuck, I think that the changes they made to the saber in order to fit the electronics make it look terrible. I think someone on the rpf had one made for him that has el electronics in it and everything looks really good, you should run a search on that saber.
    -Just my opinion though.

EL doesn't have sound, does it? Besides, I've heard that EL's end up having problems after just a couple hours of use. Am I wrong?

Okay now, what's the best (and cheapest) solution for the boots? They're in that red color that's almost impossible to find.

If you wanted to get a decent pair of boots and dye it yourself youi could go this route.

The redddish color you are looking for is called cordovan.

Do any of you know the dimensions of the Obi Wan belt buckle? I am having one made and need to know if I am close to the proper measurements.

Does anyone have a reference pix of Obi's medical kit pouch on the back of his belt? I think it's the med kit anyway. The one with the flap similar to Anakin's pouch with the verticle score lines. Any help would be much appreciated.

hey that link to padawans guide doesnt show the pouch. They didnt use the right pouches for the exhibit. I know Todd Davis makes an obiwan belt and that pouch. Its $40 for the pouch, but its well worth it. I have his anakin belt and pouches and they are fantastic. He has some posts in the anakin thread. Just PM him there. Or go to my myspace click, todd is my 4th friend. Just contact him through there to get a pouch.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has made the sash using a wrapped method or velcro closure in the back. I have seen a wrapped diagram on a tutorial? but I originally made the velcro closure on some of my costumes. Is the wrapped version more authentic?

My Sash has buttons that when the sash is threaded thru what resembles a large belt loop at the end of the opposite end of the sash, it buttons with a button on top and bottom. It is VERY cumbersome to put on so I will be adding a velcro closure in the very near future, if done correctly, the velcro can be hidden and not even noticed beneath the sash.

Let me introduce my self. I am Star Wars Fan from Argentina who is
doing a Obi-Wan costume for my wedding at December. I did an
interesting find last week and I wanted to share it with, since you
did something like this last year I think:

The fabric I found, It is very similar in texture and color, but, does
    not have the raised pattern.

I contacted a jeweler a month ago. I do not have good news. The jeweler messed up everything. He was not able to reproduce anything of what I asked from him. I am starting to think that I will never be able to find some guy in Argentina for doing this job. So, right now I am open to new methods to get it. I did a blueprint in paper. I am willing to do it in AutoCad or something like that If someone want to try something different. I know that the measurements I took are really accurate. I tried my self doing a wood model and worked great. But the wood is so weak. Any ideas?

This is the first prototype I did:
